More or less what we expected with Symonds injury.

Not sure why Sonny is on an extended bench...

I don't get it either, but Sonny must be doing something right.

But all I've seen from him is trying to catch a bomb with open arms.

I hope Jones get a run in the coming weeks. Would hate to see him become disgruntled and leave.

I dare say the Tigers are the sort of team he'd suit too.

Not just the fact that it's Sonny. More so, that there is a winger on the extended bench...

I would've stuck Jones in at bench while Koupa slots in at 2nd row bench.

Jones gives us options all over the field, Tigers defence is suspect, I want him on the bench.

As I suspected, Takairangi is being thrust into the books now.

Cherrington, JWH and Symonds go down early in the season, it is good to see Guerra, Conn and Takairangi all getting a run respectively, as it tests out the quality of our depth. Conn and Guerra did well in Round 1, and although Takairangi's performances in the NYC last year were middling, there are big wraps on his ballplaying and linebreaking ability when the mood strikes him.

He is a backrower, can play a bit of centre, big lad with the ability to set up his outside man. Has a serious problem with lack of involvement and low workrate in both attack and defense, however.

Leilua had a barnstorming game in the NYC on the weekend, would love to see him make the side to play the tigers on the weekend, this kid has a lot of potential.

I actually reckon he could develop into a very good backrower moreso than a Centre..
