  • Super tactics from Smith.

Had our backline run out of dummy half early and run their big forwards ragged. Once they were farked, had Carney and Pearce cut em to pieces up the middle and on the edge.

And the ball control. We'd completed 30 from 35 at one stage, dunno what it finished up as but our control was first class.

    Chook.

Great to see a committed ,fit,well-coached side with a game plan and structure.

Yep, a top plan and well-executed too.

BTW when braith came off I see Mini went back to fb and Carney in at half.

They just seemed to go out with a very simple straight forward plan and then as the game progressed turned it up a bit. I think there is a lot better that they are capable of even today but they just played it nice and easy. A good win and good times ahead.

I cant remember seeing the CHOOKS pull out so many offloads, sure some of them shit, but most were on the money.

Totally agree. We controlled the pace of the game very well. I thought the game was slow at the start and gradually got quicker as Souths much vaunted pack got slower.

Seemed the players loved actually knowing what they were supposed to be doing out there....

When was the last time we beat a team by having a better game plan?

Sorry Freddy, awesome player, but the word 'game plan' was not in your coaching manual.

All part of the strategy. The dummy half running tired Souths out to start the match. Then Ryles came on. He wasn't looking to make metres or run hard, he was looking to hit the line, spin and offload! I think his first 3 hitups were offloads...
