  • Roosters Logo Design

    Hi everyone,

My name is Aaron and I am a graphic designer.

I have put together a logo which I may forward onto the club if the interest is there from the Roosters fans?

The design is a mixture of heritage with the modern elements retained - somewhat signifying a fresh start for a club in a re-building stage.

I do realise this could be a touchy matter with some fans and you could well think the attached logo is terrible - that is fine and I am open to constructive criticism.

Let me know your thoughts and whether or not you feel it is necessary to forward onto the club?

    BND,
Can you enlarge the logo so we can see it. I clicked on it to enlarge and it didn't work.
    Happy to comment.

Much better. Clicking the link shows the detail and the design work you have put into it.

BAck yourself. Take this to Easts.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

            Its not too bad.....

You may find that the club wont like the fact that you have used their already copyrighted images, but I like the front image which I assume is your own.....

I like our logo now, and I love the 100 years logo, but you never know when someone with clout might want a change, and we would be the last people they would consult....

            Good luck to you....

Thanks guys. I think it is important that the current design isn't changed too much.

I feel the 100 Years logo was a great retro look and I believe the logo design I have produced incorporates all the positive aspects of the current Roosters logo, whilst bringing in the rooster artwork from the Eastern Suburbs logo in 1978.

I appreciate the feedback phantom. So do you think it would be a wiser decision to create a completely new "Roosters" wordmark instead of retaining the current?

nice work BND, give it a go, whats the worst the roosters can say??? No.

But make sure that your image is not plagerised, things like that tend to happen at the roosters

Thanks mate and you do have a point - there is no harm in trying.

As for the design, I have had plenty of experience in fighting such acts so if plagerism was to occur, the offender would have a fight on their hands and the date and time of this thread is proof of creation.

I appreciate the concern mate thank you.

                      Good advice.
BND, whack one of these on your work and you're covered "©"

BTW - Willie is MIA against the Broncos, isn't he?

about a million % better than I could do, so well done.
For logo purposes, I'd ditch the reflection of the word at the bottom, confuses it a bit.
For supporter gear etc, the relection, and variations on the design would be good

Just on the copyright logo Axe, would it cause a problem because the Roosters name logo (the stylised rooster word) is an NRL trademark? i mean trying to copyright something that uses part of a logo that is already trademarked?

not sure on willies form in the 2nd half, but lets just say, by looking at the score, it could be interesting !

The reflection is only for eye candy and would obviously not appear on clothing or any other applications. Simply to showcase the design.

Just to clear things up regarding the "Roosters" wordmark, it would not be a breach of copyright as the club can alter existing designs like the Bulldogs have done with their new logo.
