Best forward in the game..???....hes not even the best forward at Souths.

Forget Lockyer, he's yesterdays man. Big Dave will be fed balls out wide by one of the best 5/8s in the game in Johnny Sutton.

Davey just needs a bit of match fitness. And when he is fit he'll be unstopable

Maubs to cover him in defence, Carney to run right past him attack - Dave Taylor is there to be exposed.

I reckon Sutton's massively overrated, and I'm expecting him to be more of a hindrance than a help for Souths in 2010.

Plus he gets hot inside that redneck mask he wears.

                  They already have.

That new downtown kick rull will slaughter their Biggest Loser pack.

It will be worse than our single marker policy.

agreed...his lazy and does stupid things...sometimes these stupid things accidentally workout, and they call it talent.

Same as it did a few years ago. If they (forwards esp) start heading "downtown" - downfield before (or well before) the ball is kicked they get penalised. I think.

As explained to me, when they do the downtown kick the players can't go in front of the kicker. So they can't get a head start and will straggle down there.

                            here is the ruling:

                            “Down town”
Any player who is in front of the kicker in general play is not
permitted to advance beyond the point of the previous playthe-
ball until the ball has gone past the off side players. This
rule delays the movement of the off side players downfield in

an attempt to encircle the ball receiver as he collects the ball.
So it seems that a player cannot head down field before a kick is taken in order to wait 10 meters away from the receiving player.

They must be behind the play of the ball when the ball passes over their head and if they are infront of the kicker, they then can head down field and wait 10 mtrs away from the receiver.

This rule is going to cause a hell of alot of confusion !
