Apart from Jaubs, Jones is the best option we currently have at No. 9.

He is the perfect utility off the bench, can play most positions in the backlines, in the halves and dummy half.

And don't anyone mention Kouparitsis as an hooking option - if we want to win games that is.

I think he meant Brian Smith type hooker. A hard worker around the ruck.

**** you're a tough judge Cogburn...I'd hate to be your missus.

Imagine being your missus....Let's set the seen after Cog has has blown a round.

Mrs Cogburn: Thanks Cog, you really applied yourself tonight in the sack.

Cogburn: You were crap Mrs Cog, you've been performing like shit for the last two years and you'll never be any good. And the next time you try, you'll be shit again...There's NO hope for you.

"For the 20 seconds that I actually watched you rather than myself in the mirror you were all over the shot, your posture was all wrong and what was that outfit you were wearing, looks like you threw it together at the last minute... you're nothing but a middle of the road wife"

              That was funny

As the saying goes it takes all sorts

Coggy hates everyone and only wants internationals where as Muz on the other hand see's internationals in every player that pulls on a Roosters jumper.

I honestly believe for his first game at hooker he went very well and showed plenty of toughness and committment. He will need to get fitter if he wants to stay there.

Jones is developing well i'm just not sure what his best position is ?

Hmm I'm not sure about that?

He certainly does not have the acceleration of the mark or the stepping ability of a Wing or Luke. I do think we need that sort of player too rotate with Jaubs. I think Samuela is the sort of player who has a lot of trickery out of dummy half from what I saw last year and maybe good in the future if they can get his defence up too scratch.

the real question is why didnt the idiots in charge last year give him a go at hooker.

another question is whether smithy was watching saturdays game and whether he will give him a go in that position this year - considering the crap other current options that we have in that position. but considering that smith is wanting to play carney at fullback and myles at lock, i'm not holding my breath, we might be stuck with useless aubbo at 9, skd in centres etc.

There's nothing wrong with his acceleration. When playing centre he has showed enough in that department to let me rest easy.

Forget side stepping, a good hooker will just run hard and straight.

He'll be fine. His one downfall is that he needs to be leaner.

He showed some promise but is a long long way from being the 9 we need. his defence and dummy half running needs much work but given that he hasnt played there much that is understandable
