you read it as the charity is part of the $4mil.

I read it as the $4mil is separate.

i will read your suggestion and politly put it in the out tray.

In the end does it really matter??? the Roosters have a new sponsor that is willing to outlay up to $4 million, i mean really rocky like King billy said, it the charity was included, you are looking, at a major stretch, $480,000 (aprox.) going to the charities, so that is $3.5mil in sponsorship.
(that $480,000 approx is based on a winning margin of 20points for each of the 24 regular season games by the roosters)

BTW, i have had it confirmed by attendees of the press confrence that the charity money is separate, the up to $4mil is based on successful performace of the club. basically it is a performance based sponsorship.

if the Roosters are successful, the club will get the full $4mill separate to the charity money. As to what the criteria of the success is.......i cannot advise

If supporting the Roosters doesn't gut you enough these days then let our sponsors neck and gut the chooks.

Ain't sponsors supposed to bring money into the club? Apparently the Roosters will also contribute $250 per point to charities. Nice but not exactly what a business wants. What do the Roosters get out of this?
I bet you it's coming straight out of Nick's pocket.......after his whole "I'm resposible for this mess" speech of his this is probably his example of the "New Attitude".

Good to get a sponsor, although I would have preffered anything else to a poultry company

If we dont win premierships and dont make finals the deal is worth under 700K a season, cant complain better than being sponsorless, a step in the right direction

It's good to see we now have a major sponsor. We're heading in the right direction and hopefully it continues on and we have a reasonably successful season this year, especially with a new coaching staff and an injection of proven rugby league talent in the likes of Carney, Ryles, Graham and Wearea-Hargreaves.

The other thing is the humourous side of Steggles sponsoring the Roosters.

Is a performance-based sponsorship a world first ? A brilliant idea and will be the way of the future.

The whole package is brilliant. What better way to rehabilitate the Roosters' image than to have their wins generate money for charity? Cheer for the Roosters and you cheer for charity.

some people are hard to please, we went from nothing to nigh on the best in the league, tampax could have sponsored us for all i care, at least they could have stopped the bleeding from last season.

Welcome aboard Steggles, glad to have you!!!!!!!!!

                          looks alright on the jersey

but the jersey itself? Gosh, vomit inducing; the top half looks like its choking the owner

                            I agree totally.....

The Steggles itself looks pretty good.....but that jersey is an abomination.....I can even cope with the no collar, but what the hell is with the half V's.....it looks like a bib placed on the front of the jesey as an afterthought......

i agree those guernseys are an abomination the way the V doesn't go to to shoulder properly. what ****ing planet at these people on? return to the traditional home jersey FFS and don't ever **** with it again!!!

Sponsor, whatever, although I won't eat chicken if it's not free-range organic, still a great deal though, $4 mill, that's pretty good.
