I tend to agree with this Ray. Nene has the physique and the athletic ability. The big question mark on him is his attitude and commitment. He comes across as pretty laid back and casual. He was doing a lot of sideways running. I found it funny when one of our players called out to him to run straight! Elliott looks like he gives it his all. He looks fairly small by comparison to most outside backs who are generally big and athletic looking but he makes up for that with his enthusiasm and work ethic. And size isn't everything, as Jenko is a fairly small back a well. But I think both McDonald and Elliott will make good first grade players. I'm still not sure on Langi. He has some very good ball skills and can step well and knows how to find the line. But he makes a lot of fundamental errors too. Only time will tell and as they say only about 5% of U20's players actually go on to play regular first grade.Originally posted by Ray Stehr View PostNene McDonald and Elliot will make good 1st graders, they have shown enough potential so far. Langi is a player like FPN who will never live up to his potential. 2015 will tell us a lot about the said players.

Lol bro'....you need some medication.Originally posted by Bansai Pipeline View PostNene is one mistake after the next.
My bold prediction is that we're in for a frustratingly ordinary season.
Unless Fergo had a blinder, we don't have any real game breakers.
Only if the backline includes the name Stapleton somewhere in it.Originally posted by Bigchook View PostPearce, maloney, Jennings, skd, tupou, shek, fergo. Name a better back line in the nrl.
In the forwards you can add Guerra to the list as he possesses x factor and Friend has the ability to bust a game open too.

The ones we let go we are not overly critical of at their new teams. They don't get the scrutiny as when they were at the Roosters.Originally posted by Logical Rooster View PostFunny the ones that make it , we always let go
Not that many we have released have gone to to set the world on fire in reality or won GFs.
Seems if we let them go many people only see the good things they doThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

Since Robbo has came in, I think symonds is the only one that has made it. But we don't need him. Taka, Mose, cherrington, Mortimer, rona... None have cemented a first grade spot. I think langi won't make first grade till late 20's. He is a very good player, just can't find the flow of the game. Nene is only young, he has a very athletic style game. He reminds me of hodges but lacks the cockiness hodges has.

Langi is a depth player. Nothing more. If he deserved a spot in the first 17 then he would be at another club by now.
Clubs need these types of players not taking too much cap space when it comes to rep season.
You can throw in McDonald and Elliot at this stage of their career too. They have rep players in front of them this year.
Some seem to want 17 rep players and then another 8 rep players playing for Wyong as backup.

True but look how hard Jennings and SKD sometimes make it look. As to MacDonald, the term 'gentle giant' definitely comes to mind. I can't believe people are ready to move on Toops for this guy. He looks like a footballer up until the time comes when he get's the ball. Then he looks like he would rather be playing netball.Originally posted by Vasco View PostElliott needs to learn the art of drawing and passing first, something taught in U10s.Last edited by Cockadoodledoo; 02-02-2015, 05:39 PM....

These young kids have so many bloody errors in their game.
The young dummy half (can't remember his name) looked lively. Only problem was his 1000 handling errors.
What about Langi stuffing up consecutive kick offs. It's scary how such simple things are lacking in professional players.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
