  • Similar feel to 2013

Living in Sydney in 2013 and being close to the entire squad, I was able to observe the spirit first hand. You could just sense that they were building up to something special.

Since then I moved to the sunny coast and while I am no longer at Roosters HQ I am hearing great things about the group. Particularly the young blokes.

Can't wait to kick it off. Excited about Ferguson.

I'm quietly confident about 2015 as well.
I don't think we got a fair go last year, but there was other factors for sure.
Were all hoping Ferguson converts his promises into performance, but atm he's making all the right noises, and I like how he's openly giving credit to our club for backing him.
    Cross fingers.

Also, IMO, we have the best coach in the competition.
    And we got the Gibbon.
He loves the joint as much as Mini.

Im not being arsie or anything but I was just wondering what position you held at Roosters HQ in 2013?
      Only because you mentioned it.

By the way I think it would be sensational to be close to the entire squad.

yes it does have that 2013 feeling again, quietly confident even more so as we do know how to win it now!our coach too is a lot more experienced than he was in 013, our only downfalls are loss of mini directing defence and sbw putting on a power play! but we do have fergo and a much more committed experienced pearce, so all things considered id expect us to be premiership favourites

Sorry if I mislead you or anyone else but I was not and have never held a position at Roosters HQ. I was, for various reasons, in the company of the squad for the entire season. I would see the boys before and after training and witnessed the vibe they and the coaches created. It was a great experience to chat with the boys in the pool area and cafe at the stadium. They were always happy to have a chat over a coffee and it was a privillige to see first hand how they went about their Work. It was a magic year

There is a different feel this year maybe the squad has realized last year was splattered with missed opportunities due to complacency and they know they can turn it around.
              Here is to success.

Both the younger and new players are impressing at training, D has been the main focus but there's other stuff that should ensure consistency during periods of injury suspension or rep duties. The vibe is certainly infectious.

Its about time someone with an actual team insight and knowledge came onto this site.

                  Welcome aboard coach.

                    We are indeed very honoured.
Just wish you'd stop using Americanisms like "D"

                    Just a pet hate.

Wonderful news and welcome to the 'Pen. I hope you (or your namesake) get the team all pulling in the same direction as they seemed to be in 2013 and less so in 2014. Also pleased about the action taken with regards to FPN.

Should have been going for the double threepeat though.

In 2014 as coaches we tended to get bogged down in the technical and lost a bit of a feel for the game, that stuff can often confuse the process. 2015 is going to be more about staying in tune with the team and getting back to what we do.

Franks move was not about an action it was about an opportunity and securing his long term future, we remain greatful for his services.
