Graeme Lowe has a heart condition to consider so don't blame him for that decision. He already has enough on his hands with Watmough, B Stewart, Mattai and the like.

It's OK for Fulton to say sign him up, he's not the one who has to deal with the fallout if/when it all goes pearshaped. Nor is he the one having to find a sleeve sponsor for the club, which task may not be helped by signing a player whose definitely 'on the nose'.

Maybe we could send him up to Atherton - give him a taste of the country life.

I might not know the full story and that's fine but if the sole reason is influence on younger players than that speaks volumes about the club's inability to control the culture.

It seems that there are a number of players who seem to be able to move on from poor performances but others who cant.....

I thought that was pure speculation but if it isn't it surely isn't the only reason the club is taking the stance that they are towards BWM

wouldn't something relating to that match be enough of a reason for taking the stance they are?

I don't know what sort of mail GMan has but common sense tells you that if Mason had done nothing more than been involved in some relatively minor incidents during a horror year for the club, and been a bad influence on some younger players, then surely they'd give incoming discipinarian coach Smith the chance to turn him around. Surely they'd at least try that, rather than basically throwing the best part of $400K down the drain

The fact that they're not prepared to even allow him that opportunity suggests he's done something so serious that having him remain at the club is simply untenable

TOK, I don't know what happened in relation to Round 26, 2009 and BWM's part, if any, in alleged shenanigans. I would also think it takes more than one player to throw a game. What I'm getting at is that these things are speculation, unproven as far as the insignificant amount I know, and that is the reason I believe there must be more to this story and the handling of BWM for 2010.

Look i heard those rumours as well and he has never been mentioned to be on his pat malone in this so if that's the case the rest must follow otherwise what's the point?

If you think we are willing to let $400k get thrown out the window because a guy is a wanker and pissed on a wall I have to ask why Carney and Myles are still with our club dont you? There is more to it, there has to be. They cant use it as a reason because it was unproven. Mason would take them for defamation. But you have to think the guy has done something pretty bad, yet nobody is saying what.
