Mcilwrick was Canberra's dummy half when they came back to win against us in 2013, he played the game of his life and got man of the match if i remember correctly.

Obviously I don't anticipate the roosters losing ten straight games because friend is missing. And if that was the case they don't deserve the finals. And as much as everyone here hates Frank Paul I just don't see why we would release a contracted player unless we were getting someone else. Just my opinion.

Not many of those in Rugby League!

Well this kid is equal than better than Matt Srama who was the first option.
The fact that he couldn't make Canberra side don't mean too much - Sticky has always played faves and if you aint one of them you don't get many opportunities. The fact that he's claiming FPN as a marquee signing speaks volumes for how his radar of talent is way off course.
McIlwrick sounds like a well enough credentialled utility who will do the No. 9 job nicely until Jake returns and can then fight for a spot on the bench where he can cover lock, backrow and No.9.
And he is certainly better value for money than FPN!

NC. That factor alone will add appeal & increase his popularity.

Never forget that 2000 GF when he came out in second half & stiff armed Matt Singh out of the game
One of the greatest kiwis to play for the Kangaroos & All Blacks
He is still playing"Qui audet adipiscitur"

I remember the glory days when most of our team was eye candy (sigh). So even when they played crap at least they were worth watching
'Tis a shame that Remy is no longer with us - might have to watch more Superleague to get my fix there.Supporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.
