I tried to like him as a player ... so much potential, and the odd good game.
There are rumours that he suffers from very bad asthma which may have stunted his development.
Aside from that, it's the best move for both the club and Frank.
Best of luck mate

I'll miss big Franky. He seemed to be very popular amongst the players and the coaching staff. Probably one of those blokes that's really easy to be mates with but outsiders just don't see it. All a lot of people see is an at times lazy kid with a short temper. I'm betting it was a very tough decision for Robbo to let him go. Looked like he absolutely loved the bloke.
To say he won't be missed at all is a bit narrow sighted in my opinion. He provided a lot of the unseen stuff and I'm confident that's why Trent loved the bloke. Sure he didn't have the most runs, but players have different roles. If all our forwards made 20 hitups a game the backs would never see the ball. His role was to intimidate, to tighten up the ruck defence, to pressure the kickers (he was our best at that by a long way), to take that third hit up and knock a few over and get a quick play the ball for the halves to use, provide a bit of niggle to get under the opposition's skin. These are things that get no credit from anyone but the coaching staff. Trent will have to find someone to replace those qualities. If next season RTS struggles to get to kicks on the full, well that might be a lack of positioning sense but is will most certainly also be because we lack kick pressure. But no one sees that. When Pearce and Maloney don't seem to have as much time and space next year well that might be a lack of attention to detail from then but it will most certainly also be because we haven't dominated that crucial third play and now the defensive line is set and coming forward. But no one sees that.
It's a team game and it's the blokes that do their job without the credit are a big part of the reason individuals shine, and a bigger part of why the team shines. Trent Robinson is not a fool. He didn't put Franky in the team cos he thought he was funny week in week out.
Thanks for your contribution Franky and best of luck for the future.

yes ill never forget fpn diving on that scrum ball against tigpies, then of course anastas massive field goal followed shortly by skids intercept and try to get us to the second most rigged grand final in recent history? this years grand final was even more predetermined I think?

We are going to be very pressed for 1st grade depth in the forwards next year unless there is another signing on the horizon.
At the moment our pack is going to be something like:
JWH
Friend
Moa
Maubs
Cordner
Guerra
Evans
Kennedy
Napa
Hastings
Not a whole lot of creativity or strike power in that bench. The first month or so when Friend is out will be even worse

Our backrow next year is going to be a real problem when you consider Guerra and Cordner are all but guaranteed to miss a few games during rep season. God help us if any of them get injured.
