  • Jared Hayne not a rumour just a question

Could be Rooster? Question; If Easts lost Skids, Toops, JWH, Maloney and replaced them with Meehan, Nene, Hasting and Jared Hayne, Would Easts be better off?

that could work under the salary cap but wether it works on the field or not is the question.

I think if he comes back he has to go to Parra. Some kind of clause in his release contract.
      We ain't getting Hayne.

My take on Jarryd Hayne is the same as any player that gets lauded. He is one torn cruciate ligament away from 18 months on the sideline.

And being the best doesn't mean you are going to be successful. Like with Jonathan Thurston, who only has a premiership ring from being on the bench in 2004, Hayne has not achieved the pinnacle of this sport.

James Maloney, Mitchell Pearce, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Daniel Topou and Jared Warea-Hargreaves all have and they're not being spoofed over in the papers as though their every action and word is a sign of God's existence.

I loved Brad Fittler when he was at the Roosters because he was a Rooster. If Hayne came here, I'd love him because he was a Rooster.
        SUPER DRAGON!

Based on lack of experience and loss of size I think we would go backwards

For 2015 we'd be probably worse off, but given even hypothetically Hayne wouldn't come 'til 2016 then we would perhaps be better off.

The way things are at the moment as far as I know, the NRL make salary cap exemptions for big talent that aren't playing rugby league, to get them playing for an NRL club. I have no doubts that $am $quirrel burgar$e will be back playing for $ouff$ in 2016, and he will be exempt from $ouff$ salary cap. We need to take advantage of such opportunities! I don't know how many years they are exempt for, it could only be for 1 year. But if we could get a player such as Hayne for just 1 year exempt of our cap, we are virtually assured of winning the premiership for that year.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

              Here's looking at you, kid.
