      Roosters sign Matt Srama

The Sydney Roosters have secured the services of promising young hooker Matt Srama .

Srama joins the Roosters on a one-year deal after being granted an immediate release from his contract with the Gold Coast Titans .

Roosters recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan believes that 23-year-old Srama will be a valuable asset to the Club.

“Matt’s opportunities have been hindered by injury but he’s in terrific shape. A tough and uncompromising player, Matt’s experience and talent will add great depth to our squad,” said O’Sullivan.

Srama has played 62 games in the NRL to date since making his debut with the Titans in 2011.

I'm seeing Srama as a 40 minute man when Jake gets back. It'll be a better version of Simon Bonetti and Nat Wood.
          SUPER DRAGON!

With Friend getting the other 40? Can't see it.

And please, no Jake to lock talk.

I wont pretend to know anything here but it could be possible
Shandy, WTF has that got to do with Srama's signing ... I don't give a faark where Hastings plays but I do want my carton of 101's in glass from Jockey Wooster woman who knows SFA asap!

              Turk.

              Keeping the pen informed.

With origin and injuries Srama will get plenty of time, leading into the finals it will be nice to be able to rest players with niggles...

When Manly use both Ballin and Buhrer at the back of games they often carve tired teams up.

Buhrer's a completely different player to both Friend and Srama.

Friends running game is much like Buhrers, if Matt goes to 9 and allows friend to float it would have a similar effect... We did that with Morts and Friend only I believe that Matt has has stronger game than Morts.

How often did Friend and Mortimer even play together (with Maloney/Pearce) under Robinson?

Buhrer is a hole-hitting 2RF and was even playing in front-row in 2013 and early 2014 before G.Stew's injury, Friend hasn't played outside of hooker in ages and he was pretty average there. This is without even mentioning the fact our packs (lack of) go forward was a major reason for us not being as good as 2013, Friend + Srama at the same time can't help that.

                            Good signing.
Good scoop Turk. If the other signing you claim we have coming proves to be correct, I will be most impressed.

It showed in the 014 finals how important Morts was and how much we missed his impact, Srama should provide better service in this area.
