nugget will be out for quite a while looks like the central coast hooker from wyong might get a metioric rise for a while, if hes a descent dummy half? and a good defender! that should open the eyes of the central coast toward the great stuff the roosters can achieve?

I have mentioned it a few times and now with the news today of Matt Srama being unwanted by the tits, I fully believe that we should sign Srama! With no Morts and Stranger I then wanted us to get Srama, and then when I found out that Friend could possibly be out for the first 8-12 rounds of the season, I especially believe that signing Srama is a must!
Once Friend comes back, he may only be good for 30 or 40 mins a game for the first month or two, so having a specialist dummy half for the 1st half of the season to take on all the extra load is going to be vitally important! Hastings and Maubs are only makeshift hookers, and with SBW now gone there is more of a need for Maubs to play backrow. Srama will also be particularly handy during origin time when Hastings may be required in the halves if Pearce is playing for NSW, and Maubs might be needed in the centers with Jennings, Fergo and Toups playing for NSW. This could be for 3 games too, if the NRL want to screw us over and not give us byes during origin, like they did this year.
The other good thing about Srama that is very appealing is that the tits most likely will have to pay a significant part of his contract for the next two years, which is always good for our salary cap.

I like the the look of Srama and it would be good to see how Mitch Williams goes as well considering he was the NSW Cup player of the year wasn't he?
It would be good to have a few dummy-half options next year as Jake could be out for a good period.Originally posted by boogie

It is a major concern with Friends injury and availability, being such a high caliber of player and in such a key position. We need as much quality cover for him as we can! Srama is only 23 and we could pick him up at a great price. He has shown a few years ago the talent that he possesses until he sustained an injury. The tits have not had a great coaching set up the past few years, and I believe that Srama can thrive under the coaching in our club!
I think it is foolish not to purchase another dummy half going into next season, knowing that Friend is carrying an injury and we don't know when he will come back and how good he will recover. 3 games next year during origin we could be without Pearce, Maloney, Jennings, Fergo, Toups, Guerra and Cords, all playing origin and then add to that Friend possibly still not back. We would be f**king idiots not to get another specialist dummy half, with Hastings then required in the halves and Maubs needed for backrow or center.
The key position of hooker you just can't afford to f**k around with, I don't get why other people don't get that. The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!
