  • Johnson justified MOM...he's a star.

Echo the sentiments of others about the beauty of one nondescript ref.

Please bring back the 6 penalties max per game of the Bill Harrigan era....when the best team almost always won.

We can only dream that one day we will have that in the NRL, instead of the f**king $ouff$ loving Roosters hating refs that we have to endure on a constant basis!
Agree totally oracle. The 2 ref experiment is a failure and the nrl should ditch it immediately.Sure the ref is going to make a couple of blues but with the bunker review system those mistakes will be minimized. There are not too many howlers in the NFL that's why they went to the bunker system. This 2 ref shit should get the flick and as you say let the game flow and the best team wins not the team that receives 100 more penaltys than the other team.Just my opinion.

        • 3. Shaun Kenny-Dowall – Slipped up a couple of times in defence against Dylan Walker but held his own. His first-half line break sparked the Kiwis into scoring their first try. Constantly threatened with the ball and was the best centre on the field with 175 metres to his name. 7 NRL.COM

          • 3. Michael Jennings – Was on the spot with a rebound from a Cooper Cronk kick to cross for the game's first try, and was in the action again soon after with a perfectly-timed pass to send Mansour clear. Made a couple of key reads in defence to deny New Zealand and was – predictably – the most solid of Australia's young line of three-quarters. 6. NRL.com

            • its great to have 2 test centres in the roosters
Barring injury Blake could knock on that door next season

              • Our backline for 2015 is hard-on inducing stuff. Never in my memory have we had such a potentially lethal three-quarter line
Sheck, Tupou, Jennings, Fergo and SKiDs...with Nene, Joe Burgess and Ta'ane Milne waiting in the wings. Couple that with Pearce probably heading into his peak years as half, Jimmy hopefully stepping up to his 2013 form and we would have the most dangerous set of halves and backs in the comp. (Disclaimer I don't remember the 1970s)

If our forwards hold their own and I think our pack will be a force to be reckoned with as our young front-rowers like Napa and Liu have now had a couple of seasons of first grade under their belt, Kane has had a taste of first grade and I expect him to really come along next season much like Klemmer has this season for the Dogs. JWH and Moa when on the field usually co-incide with our domination of most teams. JWH and Napa starting with Moa and either Evans, Meehan or Kennedy, Liu off the bench, couple that with a backrow rotation of Guerra, Cordner, Maubs, Liu (who can play lock or prop), Leulali, Papalli, SST, etc (I guess FPN will still be here but if he played like 2014 he can get fcuked to Tigers right now) I am sure I have missed one or two and there most probably will be a bolter or two to emerge.

Also Jake will hopefully have able support with SoH who will probably in future if he lives up to his potential eventually settle at 5/8, Mitch Williams (who I haven't seen play but heard good things about) and hopefully Drama who has first grade experience which is vital for a NRL club to have nowadays. As The Rooster Oracle has said you cannot afford to farrk around with your number 9.

I think if injuries are relatively kind and our completions improve by around 10% we will be hard to beat and even the refs will struggle to contain us next year.

                • Hopefully the loss spells the end for Sheens, the most arrogant c to ever coach Australia.

                  • On another note why no RTS, JWH or Moa for NZ?

                          .
They certainly could have used his size and experience at plugging up Big men, maybe Fitzy ( Asisst Coach ) will shed some light on this when he returns to the fold.

This wasn't the only perplexing decision from a Coach needing to win , why was Walker retained ? The 7 game winger was found out, but they stuck with him, over the experienced Tuops ( admittedly he needed to change it up ). DCE is best used in short attacking bursts not suited yet for full time Pivot role Defensively exploited at crucial points. Maybe next year Tolman and Macguire might be considered for genuine 3 Prop rotation.

SKD and Jenko consistent performers , hope they have a good break before hey are expected to carry through the 2015 season

Agree totally RS but he has this untouchable aura about him which indicates that he knows whatever he does he won't be sacked , only a couple of points in it and he number of players unavailable virtually guarantees h will be here again next year.

I was thinking exactly the same sort of thing..why no Dugan, Mezza or Dan Hunt (lol!) for the Kangaroos.

We all have our theories on who should have been there and with 15 test players unavailable there was always going to be healthy debate over the squad make up.

The problem was the way Sheens used the players at his current disposal , those decisions have left most of us bemused . The tactics devised had varying degrees of success , but the overall gamble as a whole did not warrant the ultimate return - that lies wholey on Sheens shoulders and that weight should weight heavily in a sink or swim situation .
