Australian team props should be ones who play prop in club/SOO games.
Backrowers should be ones who play backrow in club/SOO.

Backs the same...centres playing centre, wingers and FBs playing wing and FB.

    Simple really.

Time the Kangaroos 'attacked' the Haka!
...and intimidated the Kiwis right back! ...like the Junior Kangaroos did.

The problem is that many of the decent players in the NRL just aren't interested in this Mickey Mouse competition.

After a WC last year, why the hell have another silly tournament to increase player burnout, injuries and not have a full season where every team plays each other home & away? I can just see one of our players having an RTS type injury and then their form suffers.

Is jake Friend injured??? If not then how the Fark did Farah get picked ahead of him?????

Thaiday and DCE should have never been picked.

Thing is, if we want to keep the better players in the game, Hayne, Burgess, SBW then we have to increase the profile of international RL. It's the one thing that's lacking in the sport.

Always remember it was Grant Mayer that sacked Tim Sheens. Sheens and Farah are like two horrible horrible peas in a horrible horrible pod.

                  wtf Farrah

Jake Friend will undergo surgery this Off-Season after it was discovered that the Vice-Captain had suffered a cartilage tear in his right shoulder, following our final match of the 2014 season against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The hooker faces a full shoulder reconstruction after scans revealed the tear and following consultation with Roosters Medical Staff, Friend has opted to go under the knife in order to be full prepared and fit for the 2015 NRL season.

Friend is expected to return to full training, alongside the rest of the Squad, in February 2015.

Any further updates on Friend will be provided as they come to hand.

Some marketing guru needs to come up with a formula to make it more interesting. At the moment it's happening too often. Very few NRL supporters seem to care. Personally I just don't care if the Kangaroos win or not. And I consider myself a patriotic Aussie. I just don't find international league interesting.

You've named 3 players that wanted to pursue other interests and unless you put a few millions per season on the table then your not going to get them to change their mind but even that might not be enough.
League is taking very small steps and I don't see any other way. The best thing for them to do is start here and try and make it the #1 sport. AFL has moved so far ahead and now the A league are doing something right. League is still scrambling to do what ever but it aint working. Fix your home first then try growing.

AFL never has and never will be ahead of rugby league.

NSW and QLD are 2 of the 'big 3' states. And the NRL completely and utterly dominates in both.

So how can anyone consider AFL the bigger code when they have such a small presence in these two states?

I think SBW and Hayne would leave anyway, but Burgess has gone for the International exposure, no doubt about it.

If we had a proper international calendar, and some sort of expansion plan, it would make a huge difference in people's perception.

the afl may have small presence in nsw (gws and the swanks) and qld (the suns and Brisbane lions) but the people who follow their team in the afl , do so not just by words but by memberships. gws has averaged 12k members every year, then the hawks have 70 thou. the roosters have 15thou and the toofless ones have 20 thou members.

the afl has Adelaide (2 teams , both won GFs) and west Australia (one won GFs and the other been there) and they will soon have a team in Tassie. the afl gets more bums on seats than the nrl on average week in , week out. the suns averaged 14 thou every game compared to the titts who got around 10 thou. more people on average go to a Melbourne demons game than souffs fans go to games over a year. and the Ds are shit ,,,,

8 thou at Allianz is crap when we play. should be 20 thou.

                              Jake had a shoulder op.

I heard he was going to get picked ahead of Farah - but what the hell would I know.

Tommy I know your passionate but wake up and smell the roses. When the swans play in Sydney it usually gets a big crowd or more like 50k people. Like RP said we usually average 15k. I think in that finals game when our game v the cows i think and there was that Swans game on a Friday, the crowd at the SFS was poor and embarrassing for a code that's supposed to be stronger and I believe that Swans game was in the 60K mark.

Most games they have whether it be Vic, WA, SA, NSW and QLD, they have big crowds unlike the NRL where it's always an issue.

Even their TV coverage is better and it has got nothing to do with Nine cause I assume they have leverage over 7 and Fox. The NRL are slaves to Nine.
