The story in the Telegraph last week about the Roosters being on Channel 9 for the first 5 rounds claimed that David Gyngell was a director at the Roosters.
A couple of people on here pointed out that whilst he was previously a director, he did step down some time ago due to the obvious conflict of interest. Someone else on here suggested that although he did step down previously, he was now back on the board.
If indeed he's not a current board member, and given that the article suggested he was giving favourable treatment to the Roosters, you'd think he would have insisted on a retraction/apology from the Telegraph, similar to the one they were forced to publish regarding Brian Smith's son...
