Interesting, thanks for that. Good to see another Canberra man BTW!

May I ask which local Sticky hangs out at? Inner South I'm guessing.

RTS is 5'10' and 93kg and not slow.

Get rid of him I say.

There were many more highlights in 2013 than there were in 2014. This year it appeared that the opposition had learnt to read his step whereas 2013 they had no idea. Maybe this is just because he wasn't fully fit this year, but I doubt it.

I like RTS. I would have him fullback and Ferguson in the centres as most would. RTS makes his breaks through footwork - not speed. If players have learnt do defend his step on the wing, he hasn't got much scope to make a break in that position. He would be harder to defend against at FB where he can inject himself anywhere and target tired forwards with his footwork.
That's a much better post. I don't think we can conclude opposition wingers learnt how to defend against his step as he received so little ball out there this year. Most of his runs were from dummy half. It usually takes players 12 months to properly regain strength and speed after breaking a leg. I would be surprised if he isn't faster next season. Also fresher after a proper offseason break.

I agree with you that he would be more dangerous in the centre of the park than on the Wing. I also think swapping around with Mini this season only led to players being more confused with what was going on. I would hate to see that continue between he and Blake.

I think that his best attack is when he is in the middle third of the park and running onto offloads or sidesteping forwards. FB will suit him.
I agree mate. I dont think RTS is slow at all. He is certainly not the quickest but then again i dont remember too many times this yr when he got into open space.

Majority of his time was spent running into opposition forwards from his own 20.

And I will reserve my judgement on his ability to play fullback until he gets a fulltime stint. Cant be easy going between the 2 positiins and not being able to settle.

And on speed, I cant believe someone wrote the other day that Tupou was slow. He didnt look slow scoring that amazing try against the Cows when he caught the Jennings pass on his hip.

I swear I read somewhere on the club's website that in this year's preseason toups was the fastest over a 50 sprint, I think. And that's saying something when you think about the speed we have like jennings, mini, SKD, reuben, even Pearce is no slouch that rundown tackle on Inglis was one for the highlights.

Just goes to show that anything goes on this forum mate.

Might do that one day... I used to have car club meetings there (upstairs) so know the place. They do a decent baked whole fish in the dining room too.

Generally I go to the civic Labor club for footy. They do a decent $15 steak deal that includes a movie ticket (although I heard they jacked it up to ~$17, still not bad). A few Roosters fans go there regularly to... admittedly pretty rough blokes who look like they're from the govie flats in Braddon. However, they're passionate and support the right team.

I WISH RTS WOULD DUMMY HALF SCOOT MORE OFTEN INSTEAD OF THE 2 STEP SHUFFLE. fergo centre and skids the wing. awesome attack if they jell and in defence will be a wall. toups and jenko is pretty awesome.
as mentioned in another thread, skids as a second row.....ummmm no. we have maubs.and yes fergo is a fullback.

The fact that Mini took his position in the red zone should be enough for the dumbest of fans? Mini bombed plenty that Sheck would have scored in 2014...
