Firstly, I want to make it clear that I don't condone the action. It was an assault and deserves to punished. But as far as a criminal conviction goes, the 2nd punch was more of a pulled jab to the nose than a king-hit, and he walked away. There is no chance that he will be criminally convicted.
Comparing this with Packer who threw several punches and then stomped on the guy's head is off the mark.
I agree stomping is def taking it to another level as well as it occurring off the field.
But I don't think that last punch was pulled, he put everything into it

Try and be serious and you will look stupid

10 super league games is all he will miss. He's basically just been given a slap on the wrists by the RFL and told not to do it again. As a Wigan fan I'll be livid if the club don't punish him in someway as well because in my opinion he single handedly lost us that game. Pr!ck!
Danny Williams got suspended for 18 weeks after king hitting Mark O’Neill. Supposedly Williams was concussed (in his words) at the time which was seriously up for conjecture in my opinion as he connected as well as he could have but I’ll leave my thoughts on that for another day as he (Williams) deserved everything he got.
I believe Flowers’ punch (punches) is worse. Lance Hohaia was prostrate on the ground and serious damage could have been caused (fortunately it wasn’t). The six months is too lenient as I believe it should come down to games missed and in this instance he (Flower) will effectively be ruled out for only 10 SL games and a World Club Challenge.
My point is this; if an NRL player on Grand Final day belted somebody and received a 6 month suspension how many games would that person miss? Take in to account the person might not be good enough to represent his country (representative games) he may not play in only 3 to 5 games.
In saying all of that, criminal charges may be laid against Flower anyway.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".
