I have changed my tune from earlier this year and I think Pearce is the better choice over Friend.

He comes from a good pedigree - his old man captained the Tigers to two grand finals and captained a winning State Of Origin side. I think Mitch's problem has just been immaturity. He has only just turned 25 and his been living the life of a carefree young bloke. I think the incident this year has been the turning point and he is starting to remind me of his old man, total dilligence, professionalism and commitment to the game, his team, his execution and his training.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say by this time next year if he keeps this attitude up he will be as good as Cronk, if not better.

I do think Pearce has made big steps towards finally playing to the ability we all thought he had, but never really showed us, till late season onwards. I think at this stage of his career, to now burden him with the captaincy is abit much, but in all fairness, a good halfback runs the show anyway, look at Cronk at Melbourne, Smith does what he is told there.
I think Jake's courageous return to the game, obviously before he was fully fit, showed me, he is the man to lead us, he leads by example every week, and the boys just love playing with him, if there is any justice, he should go on tour, as the back up hooker to Smith in the aussie side, that would put the icing on the cake, for his career.
As far as talking to the media, I have heard a lot worse speakers then Jake, and the club can get him tutored in public speaking, its on the field that matters most, and Jake ticks all the box's in that regard.

          Pearce.
He has notched up 182 games for the roosters already and he is only 25 years old. He has matured a lot this season and is definitely a leader on and off the field. he will be our next 300 game one club man, if he can stay injury free.
He has gone to another level and he is ready for the challenge.

a co-captaincy system of Pearce, Friend with Guerra and Cordner as vc's.

I don't think that JWH will be here after 2015.Reasons being

              * the emergence of some very exciting young props with the likes of Liu, Evans, Napa and Meehan all of whom will see a lot more game time next season.

              * the fact that he is a judicary target and has too many skd type brain explosions.

              * he will demand a lot more than what we signed him on previously and with guys like RTS and other young players off contract, a player not in the spine is not worth that much.
              Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

I like Moa but it won't happen, in saying that Pearce as Captain and Moa and Friend as Vice Captains. I know alot of people here are sold on Corder but I am not one of them anyone who's drinking buddies and mates with Carney still has some maturing to do.

                      Pearce

He is about to move into the best few years if his career and the responsibility will do him good.

Pearce has been playing consistently well for the first time in his career. Let's not upset the apple-cart by giving him more responsibility.

Pearce is starting to mature and I think he's always been groomed for the job.

Pearce and Friends will be our stars and leaders next year. They have both gone to another level this year and you can still see improvement in them both.

In saying that I wouldn't give them the captaincy. I would go with guerra. I've liked his improvement this year. He looks to have leadership qualities and always rolls his sleeves up when things get tough.

I'm afraid Pearce would be burdened by the captaincy. The dude may be finally playing consistent but i really don't know how he'd handle that pressure. For that reason, i'm more inclined to go with Friend.

JWH as was suggested several weeks ago? Lol no.
