Wonder if it was a bit of second year syndrome for rts this year after winning winger of the year last year.

Was waiting for something special from him in the last month, and was very quiet. Hopefully the space next year brings his form back.

You have a point there. RTS had big hype on him after just 1 season in the first grade. Add that pressure to a lack of off-season and coming off a big injury, it was no doubt hard for him come the back end of the season.

In saying that I think he had an acceptable season. Each week he made the metres and single handedly won us a few games this year - the knights home game and sharks away game are at the top of my memory, where he played a big role. Sure he didn't have the greatest finals series, but no one else did either really. Almost everyone seemed to drop off in the finals.

It's easy to find bad players in a team that wasn't given a fair go and lost its momentum. They played perfect until dubious decisions took possession away from them whenever they had good field position. With more possession a lot of those players would have had blinders.

From yesterdays display, AG has firmed as a prospective captain. He has been our best this year from start to finish. Fantastic year which will hopefully earn him a green and gold jersey.
