With Mini retiring & "maybe" Ferguson arriving, i'm very curious about our backline machinations for 2015.

Some of you may think this suggestion as farcical but I would love to see > Sheck remain on the wing and Fergo given a go at fullback? Why, because I liken Fergo's attacking style of play to that of Inglis & Hayne. He's fairly safe under the high ball as well.

      Thoughts?

N.B RTS could do with some speed training with Roger Fabri in the off season.
It's definitely an option mate, but I feel that RTS has been marked as the next fullback for some time now.

I don't think it's fair to write RTS off as a fullback. I'm not saying you are, but some on here seem to think he won't go well there. I guess we have to ask ourselves - how many on here were fearful of our best ever fullback playing there in the first place? I'm not criticising that thought, but all I'm saying is we should all give RTS at least a season to prove himself in the position.

At the end of the day, Robbo probably already knows what he is going to next year in this regard, and I will back his judgement until the final day he coaches us.

It's off topic, but do you think SBW will be back in two years gman?

Wonder if it was a bit of second year syndrome for rts this year after winning winger of the year last year.

Was waiting for something special from him in the last month, and was very quiet. Hopefully the space next year brings his form back.

Thought both wingers were poor last night. RTS has had a poor finals series.
          Pearce again a standout

SKD was playing like an immortal. I couldn't believe my eyes.

At the end of the day, centres and wingers feed off the halves who feed off the forwards.

It's tough to expect your outside backs to create something from carting it out of our own half.

To see the best of Jennings you have to force feed him the ball with time and space. Something we have failed to do all year.

From yesterdays display, AG has firmed as a prospective captain. He has been our best this year from start to finish. Fantastic year which will hopefully earn him a green and gold jersey.

IMO, i think you'll find Pearce & Friend as co-captains. TRobbo admires them both very much.

                          I think he will.
I was only imagining today how best to utilise him once he returns at age 31. Rather than use him as a battering ram i would like to see him come off the bench playing wider utilising his skills base.

                            Thanks mate.

Whatever the case, I believe he will be as successful as he was this time. Robbo will no doubt have a plan on how to use him. Hopefully he won't be as marked as heavily if he returns. It's hard to expect much when 4-5 players tackle him each time he runs the ball.

Guerra has stepped up also & had a great year...

Something we didn't fail to do all year, but succeeded in, was dropping the ball whenever we could. It's extremely disappointing that the side was never able to fix that over the course of the entire season. Close to 30 games after round 1 and we were still making the same mistakes we did in game 1 against Souffs.
