If so our boys need to not let the score line get away.. We need a massive performance from everyone, hope our rotation is fixed. Souths are firm favourites.

Roosters need to base the game around defence by backing there defence. Not try passes on line and shield balls going out. They'll take the defensive option and take the ball dead. The defence will than bring tries. Both finals they tried short cuts and paid for them. Tonight they'll be perfect. Souths halves are going to get hammered. Those mistakes in both finals will win us the game.Last edited by nudge0_1; 09-26-2014, 08:33 AM.

Guerra needs to target Reynolds like he did with Thurston, just keep hassling him every time he touches the ball. If we can get ahead and dominate that first 20, and ideally if we can get out to a good lead I think we should be able to bring it home.
The pressure will start to kick in if we start putting points on them. Suddenly the 43 years will start ringing loud and all that pressure will start coming down hard.
Those first 20mins are going to be crucial to both teams. Even if we dont get out to a 12-0 lead, the key is going to have to stop them scoring a try in the first 20. If they choose to go with a penalty goal, that's ok, it shows they have no confidence in their attack breaking our line. And if they show that early, that will show the amount of pressure on them.
Hope Maloney gets into them with the sledging as well and keeps reminding them of the last 43 years.
SBW has to make it his mission to target GI every time he touches the ball in our half.

If they try to win it in the first half they may not have the fitness or mental tough to play 80...
if this is the strategy it's fraught with danger as our roosters know they can compete the entire game
this is our lesson from the past 2 games"Qui audet adipiscitur"
WHO DARES WINS

Lets not forget GI. He may not have the same impact JT has, but is still a game-changer in his own right. Regardless if we are up 2-0 or 50-0, we need to finish them off.
3 weeks in a row we have switched off, including the Souths rd 26 game.

I don't think the vermin have the individual ability to win the game like a JT so they depend on many players to get them through. Stop one or two of them, they're cooked.

Incidentally, Guerra, Friend, Moa & JWH were all off the field when the Cows posted their 30 points. I don't think Trent will make the same mistake tonight (Napa back helps).

After missing him for the past fortnight, I definitely see what Napa brings to the team... pure aggression. He is a big return and plays significantly more minutes than Casty too.
