yup, the problem is the Roosters are all alone, unless you are a fan of us odds are you hate us.. so last night all of NSW and QLD were wanting us to lose... this call team is getting worse and worse, i rewatch games from 2002-2004 and the calls were much more professional, too many egos in such a little box.. Rabs needs to fark off and take gus with him... get rid of the drugy and the queen... and bring in someone that actually knows the game of Rugby League... bring back Vossy.. i hear one of the reasons he was dumped was because he wasnt part of that the circle of farkwits.

Fair enuff...so the point to all of this is that whomever would like to the Nine commentators not to be too critical of the Roosters players or show any bias against them, right...? And Vasco said that Gyngell should do like Murdoch does at the Tele or worse at Fox News? If Gyngell has no formal connection with the team, or even a s a fan, why should he interfere to stop the commentators from saying anything that may be deemed that it goes against our club?

yes ROC181 - valid points you raise and I agree yet i don't agree with the tabloid style commentary which is indicative of his infotainment tabloid tv network.gutter commentary and gutter journalism which is a reflection of todays society who lap it up.thats their target market.

I've got a big collection of VHS tapes of all our winning free to air games from mid 2005 to 2010 before I bought my T-box (mostly victories over Souths ) and I watch one every weekend in the offseason. It's amazing how the standard has sharply declined. In any other workplaces, your superiors would question the work product quality going downhill, but Channel 9 are either too lazy or too scared to freshen up the commentary team...and who with anyway would be the next question? There seems to be a dearth of quality journalists and referees in this country...

And the 2009 collection is very very tiny... mostly footage of Freddy eating muffins etc..

... Funny thing ...last week the cowboys got a lucky knock on rule in their favour at a crucial time of the game when Hodges knocked the ball back ...no complaints from them. This week a correct call goes against them ... and its poor JT / conspiracy theory / gods against them etc etc

I just watched the ch 9 intro and could not believe the way Joey went on about the cowgirls being robbed. he was a great player but a terrible commentator. I find it hard to believe that as an immortal he does not know what constitutes a "knock on". I thought that the cowgirls benefitted the most from refs calls last night but as Freddy pointed out those decisions didn't ultimately effect the outcome. Mini gifted them 2 tries yet we were able to steady the momentum shift and seal the win. the cowgirls had the opportunity to take the drop goal but chose not too.

Andrew Johns is a class A moron...his commentary all year reflects this
