  • Robbo takes a pot shot at the cowboys

good on Robbo for standing up for the club, he could obviously see how the Cowboys were trying to manipulate the match officials with the whole "everyone is against us mentality", and how they have been duded before, and everyone wants to see a Roosters vs Vermin prelim.

also was less than impressed about a lack of respect towards Mini.

If the boys didn't have enough incentive as it is, this will fire them up!

Not the sharpest tools in the shed up in the Townsville media...

This is what I meant by my comment the other day about Robbo's ability to use the media brilliantly to benefit the team and club. And some poster knocked me down with a very abrupt retort.

          Well done Robbo...again.

He is a wise man our coach. I think we are very lucky to have in. If he continues to improve and learn he could become one of the greats.

              What a legend.

I'm so confident that we're going to smash them.

Their loser mentality, with the conspiracy bullshit, will come back to haunt them when the going it's tough after 20 minutes and they start looking for excuses.

We're going to be so fired up. Roosters by 22.

some real crappy comments at the bottom of the page on the smh.
                here is trents interview:

                http://www.roosters.com.au/news/2014...home_turf.html

Head Coach Trent Robinson faced the cameras earlier today ahead of our final session before tomorrow’s Semi Final against the North Queensland Cowboys at Allianz Stadium and certainly had the media talking following comments surrounding the front-page of a North Queensland paper from today.

Robinson felt the publication had shown "disrespect" to retiring Skipper Anthony Minichiello with their choice of words and imagery ahead of tomorrow night's do-or-die clash.

The Head Coach also opened up on the return of Jake Friend from injury, even to the point of describing the returning rake as one of the toughest players he had ever worked with alongside the likes of Kurt Gidley and Captain Minichiello.

In addition to Friend's return Robinson also speaks on the form of Sonny Bill Williams and Mitchell Pearce, last week's one-point loss to the Penrith Panthers in the final seconds of play, the return of QLD Origin star Aidan Guerra and the luxury of being able work with and to pick from an almost full-strength Squad of this calibre.

LOL @ the comments in the article... apparently we've been getting the rub of the green for 2 years. I'd hate to see the count against us if we weren't getting the calls

I get customers here that have the same comments.

True, some mental issues are much harder to deal with than on field play

How does getting the rub of the green equate with being the most penalised team in the competition? You can't put brains in statues...

It sure is. I'm fed up to the back teeth with jealous insecure spiteful people both in sport and in life in general. I'd respect them more if they got on with the business of playing instead of whinging and backstabbing..

just finished watching the whole Robbo interview from today's captain's run, he touched on quite a few topics, but the most interesting one was regarding the salary cap and paying the price for success, he confirmed that we wouldn't be able to keep the whole team together going forward, going to be interesting early next year when the re-signings start to occur and who hasn't got a new deal yet.
