  • Betting market finals Friday

    With Centrebet:

    Roosters 1.48 to crow again
    Cowboys 2.70 to lasso chooks

Also bulldogs 1.75 to eliminate eagles - how far the eagles have fallen out of their nest; can they fly again??

no way should we be that short, pro punters will come for the Cowboys, especially if JWH is rubbed out.

There is no way they will be $2.70 on Friday. They are playing a heck of a lot better than us.

Tariq Sims more likely to be rubbed out than JWH.

We won 7 of our last 8, took out the Minor Premiership, lost by just 1 point in the 80th minute and verse a Cowboys outfit that has seen like 3 wins in Sydney over the last year.

Odds are right around where they should be, but value is on Cowboys.

Agreed! We've had 1 loss in 7 matches and now the Cowboys have 'been playing better than us?' Perhaps playing in NQ, but will not have that advantage playing t the SFS. Like last night, the game is in our hands.
Simms should be suspended for that blatant shoulder charge.

Market steady for our game - those who said cows were overs at 2.70, you can still get that.

Bulldogs have firmed to 1.66 - I wonder if the eagles are really as dead in the water as everyone has written them off as?

Eagles right in this game. I will go a step further and suggest the winners of both this weekend's game will meet in the grand final and obliterate the fallacy of the week off being and advantage.

All the old wives tales have been shown to mean jack shit these days.

You need to lose one to win one, the week off is king, can't win from out of the 4, blahblahblahblah.

It's all for the gamblers, all those betting key cliches.

The amount of people that say I hate being faves, fark me it means zero, being the fave. That's the way the comps been designed, anyone can win on any given Sunday, or Saturday, or Friday, even Thursday and Monday.

If you are good enough you can win from anywhere. Period.

                        Exactly.
That loss will have put some steely backbone into our forwards and we will roll over them from the get go….like we did to $oft$.

Cowboys have only lost once in their last 10, a 1pt loss to the Panthers

we have only lost one of our last 7, a 1pt loss to the Panthers.

                            This week:
                            Roosters $1.47
                            Cowboys $2.75

                            To make the grand final:
                            Roosters $2.85
                            Cowboys $6.50

Implied odds for next week vs Souths:
                            Roosters $2.85 / $1.47 = $1.94 (Souths about $1.90)
                            Cowboys $6.50 / $2.75 = $2.36 (Souths about $1.65)

                            Other side of draw

                            This week:
                            Manly $2.25
                            Dogs $1.67

                            To make Grand final:
                            Manly $3.75
                            Bulldogs $3.00

Implied odds for next week vs Panthers:
                            Manly $3.75 / $2.25 = $1.67 (Panthers about $2.25)
                            Dogs $3.00 / $1.67 = $1.80 (Panthers about $2.15)

                            Interesting observations:
                            - Roosters vs Souths would be an even money game
                            - Panthers expected to lose next week
                            - Bookies still afraid of Manly
