  • Well here it is.... the turning point of last night

would have put us up 18 - 4, instead we get penalized back to back after it and the riff score to make it 12 - 10 and momentum shifts back to them...i think this is a try and the refs really need to answer for it and why they didnt even go upstairs.

The ball carrying arm clearly doesn't touch the floor.

Maxwell ****ed us. But then every refs ****s us.

We just can't get a fair go. 28 minutes for a penalty. Perenara on our case all night.

Same shit week after week, year after year.

Seriously??? We win that game, and we lose next game. They played bad. What positives can be taken from winning? The turning point was at training. Evans dropped ball first set showed what they'd do all game. Losing will teach them a lot, if they won? Next game they go in thinking we play shit we still win.

Thanks for that video. That shows how much better we have to play to beat the refs and the opposition! An obvious try to us and once again we get screwed. The refs overuse the video ref at times when it is so obvious and then don't when they really should. Something needs to be said or changes in how they use the video ref needs to be made! Captains challenge comes to mind!

          This!
It's strange, as I am now more confident of making it B2B after that loss.
All season, we have struggled with teams when we were expected to put a cricket score on them, but from this point forward every game is going to require a lift in intensity.
Just think back to the last 3 games against the Warriors, Storm and Vermin.
Who realistically gave us a chance of winning all 3?
I say keep the faith people - sit back and enjoy the ride!!!

There's another video on YouTube where it compares sbw try from last year against the riff, he had at least 4 players on him and his arm just barely scrapped the ground when he put it down on the chalk, that was given a try. And last night its very similar infact has more of a chance to be given a try because there is only 1 player on remi and his moving, his arm never touched the ground. We lost it due to a poor performance but we score that try its game over.

Such a crucial turning point in the game, but it's been whitewashed from the media.
Not mentioned in the press, the NRL highlights package doesn't show it or reference it. even the Ch9 commentary just laughed it off .."might be ok in France but not here" ... or some such flippant remark.
That nor try, then followed up by the ridiculous penalty against Maloney for an accidental foul which led to the Riff try ..... 12 point turnaround. Absolutely crucial in the context of the game .... but just conveniently brushed out.

Will be interested to see if the Footy show this morning even have a legitimate look at it.

Just imagine the outrage if it was the Cowboys.

From channel 9s opening intro with all that derogatory laa-dee-daa latte sipping Roosters vs the blue collar battlers, all the way through the game call... there's a clear anti-Roosters agenda.

No-one wants us to go b2b and so it won't get mentioned.

We can't complain about refs after the deal we got against Sowfs in Rd26. We scored from a blatant knock on, and when an ex Rooster Coach and Captain say it was a knock on you'd better believe it, our second try from a pass a metre forward and our third try from a very lucky bounce off the goalpost. I was worried after that game, we were lucky to win.

Sowfs put three well constructed tries on us and we won by two very dodgy penalty goals.

After that game I thought we would lose to Penrith. The 'Riff deserved it, they wanted it more than us.

We have also been allowed to get away with so many blatant forward passes this season it's now coming back to haunt us. Last night we gave the 'Riff a lot of ball from dropping passes that we threw so far forward they were next to impossible to catch.

We need to go back to some basics and not rely on forward passes and getting gifted tries like we did against Sowfs.
