Im glad they did it....i am TIRED of people talking down our success due to this BS...im glad our club put it out there and told FACTS...not farking estimates like rothwit throws out there for the average fan to believe... its out there now and we stood up to this BS and are telling everyone WE ARE NOT CHEATS!...HERE ARE THE FACTS...so although Rothwit isnt worth our time im glad we have made a stand...this is our clubs reputation.

yes they could...but last i heard there is a core group in our team that are willing to be paid less in order to stay together.

Aubo recently re-signed for less than what he could have got at the Dragons, and every one that has re-signed says we are building something special here and they want to be a part of it. And that can work the other way imo by attracting quality players to the club for less just to be a part of a winning club.

I reckon players like Josh Papali and Paul Vaughan from the Raiders would leap at the opportunity to play for us if we chased them with a bit less than what their current club was offering.

We are in a tremendous position moving forward and we owe a lot of that to Robbo and our management for building a good club culture.

          Chook.

What annoyed me was that this Roosters official did not make mention f Rothfields constant agenda against us..same shit at the same time each year. Last year it was the drug allegations.

They should have pointed that out to discredit the article.

We shouldn't need to justify ourselves to an outright idiot like Phil Rothfield.

At present we're the best run club in the NRL, from top to bottom. And this will always generate hate.

We should be used to it. I for one think it's hilarious that certain people in the media believe that we must seek to devolve to the Sharks and Raiders level in the interests of fairness and equality.

On the contrary they need to improve their game to get up to our level. But they never will. And so the agenda from the media in all its "tall poppy syndrome" glory will continue unabated.

As such I'd rather we sit atop our perch quietly, having a chuckle at their jealousy. No need to justify our success.

POS and others deserve a massive rap. He has perfectly timed a three-year premiership window. I will not be surprised if we win this year and next year too (even without SBW). After that we may hit the skids and start again but those three years will live with us forever.

I just wonder about this article...

                  1. Why the source chose to remain anonymous? If true, and to give credibility, why not chose an official announcement?
                  2. The potential fall out within the club. Do players want their salaries revealed in the public domain?
                  3. Why did we do it? The best way to treat the Tellucrap and such articles is to ignore. This will encourage more articles of this theme believing the Roosters will respond.

Phil will be doing somersaults over this. He'll rightfully claim an exclusive response to his article

I'm bewildered to such a point that I believe this is BS

Hopefully we get at least two Premierships out of it.

It still hurts how we left 2 Premierships on the table 10 years ago when we should have won 3 in a row.

Or at the very least 2.

I would not be surprised if Murdoch's men decide to cook up some other story about the Roosters to destabilise them and to appeal to their bogan readership.

Yes I'm actually a bit surprised we justified their baseless claims with a response.

It will only encourage further antagonistic journalism from them.

Anyone with any cerebral substance would have laughed the article off.

I hope he stays, always liked him since his debut try against Souths in 2010 after Carney's break then Mini's nice short ball
He wasnt let go. He chose to leave Melbourne and we offered him a contract. Bellamy actually was pissed off Guerra left, coz he rates him highly.

anyone who has played in the city / country reserve grade standard fixtures, played for Malta, russia, Ireland in world cups or qualifiers is a rep player, , every NRL club has at least 10 of these in their squads

Exactly, Rothfield is equivalant to a drunken pub darts player, that will throw 1000 darts at the bullsye until he finally hits it, I highly doubt that roesy cheeked prick even has a bullseye on his board.
