True but some of the mud will stick to Mason as well. The situtation's not exactly something he can put on his CV to impress his next employer. He best use this 450K wisely because I reckon his next contract will be worth less than half.

Which is probably still more than he's actually worth.

The real damage to the Club has already been done - no point in worrying about what can't be changed. The current Mason situation is probably less damaging than others in the past 12 months.

Clubs and players have disputes all the time. Always have and always will. The Roosters will not lose much by playing it tough but fair.

Exactly right, players come & go but behaviour like that is never forgotten & the club they were playing for at the time will always be remembered for the same reason.
