  • Penrith it is

So it's confirmed we're playing Penriff next week, which many on here are relieved about. I understand that as playing Souffs again would have been weird, and the cowboys are currently on fire.

However I think that the panthers are going to be a very tough match. They are a well disciplined team with strong defence and a well structured attack which means we must defend well. Sowie is playing well, segyaro will be a danger and Moylan is on the rise. Add that to our issues with injuries and suspensions. It's going to be a very tough and close game.

In saying that, if we play to our best, we will win no doubt

If we complete most of our sets as they do we should win. Comfortably. Then again that's me thinking we have Friend and Guerra playing, it will be a really good game but I think our forwards will dominate and we'll score too many points for them.

They have nothing we would put 50 on the Warriors if we had that much possession. The panthers are a rising side but they are still learning. We will nail them if we play at our full potential. Plus we owe them for the 2003 gf.

they are a solid football team, Cleary has done an amazing job gelling a bunch of journeymen and talented youngsters, and he will probably win coach of the year.

but realistically if we can't beat the Panthers at home when they are missing 5-6 of their best players we don't deserve to win the comp.

they will complete their sets and not beat themselves, but if we stay focussed we will pull away in the last 20 minutes.

              We're a class above.

The Panthers are where they are because they've beaten everyone they should (except, oddly enough like us, the Sharks).

But they absolutely don't have that necessary extra gear for finals football. Especially with all the key outs in Peachey, Wallace, Cartwright and Taylor.

Robbo will be telling the boys we have 3 games left. Let's make them 3 big games. Roosters by 22.

Just heard Cleary say that it was a privlidge to play the Roosters at Allianz. Gotta love Cleary. If Robbo ever leaves the chooks would like to get Cleary to replace him.

agree 100% Cleary is a class act like Robbo, no surprise that the two of them are probably fighting for the coach of the year honours.

                      Our only danger is complacency.

I will say the Panthers have been fantastic this year and got over repeated injury woes that would have finished lesser teams.

Very plucky team and play without pressure or expectation as will be the case against us. Be careful.

Ivan Cleary a cert for coach of the year regardless of future happenings.

I would hope any sign of this has been completely knocked out of them by now.

I wouldn't mind seeing that happen, in about 20 years time.

Have to agree, they aren't out of it. They don't make many mistakes so we have to ensure to complete a pretty high % of sets, otherwise we are going to have to win the game with much less than 50% of possession.
