  • I like the kid!

It only took ten minutes to warm to Jackson Hastings.

Don't know if anyone else saw it but after one of our tries, he pointed to the mighty roosters emblem on his jersey
and gave it to the Souffs supporters.

    The farian LOVED it!

That one act alone should ensure he stays with the club for many many years.

He has a very likeable arrogance about him that's for sure.

Yep, he's always had a bit of that in him. He's gonna be one of those players fans will love but opposition fans will love to hate.

I missed that. But well done young Jackson. You'll fit in very nicely with the Roosters culture!

Looked unfit and the next Jamie Soward. Sorry but a young bloke engaging the crowd and carrying on like a dope, especially after having thrown the worse pass this season, says to me halfwit. An then check out his comments on line today someone needs to pull his chain.

Reminds me of Aaron Raper, legend father football, son is a struggler.

If you are looking for a definition of halfwit - look no further than the cardinal and myrtle No. 9. Classic example.

Scoot has been sticking the knife into young Hastings for a while now:

I'm stoked for him. I don't care if he's a bit brash – not everyone has the zen-like calm of a Mitch Aubusson.

I just checked out his Twitter. He's churchy-as. Loses some sheen, but whatevs.

Yeah, I saw that. he pointed to the Rooster on the jersey, then when he got a response from the unwashed, I'm sure he mouthed 'fark off' to em.

                      He'll do for me.

Can't say whether young Horrie is a good kid or a goose yet as I don't know him.

But...the spectacle of watching the nervous young man prepare himself for the big stage awaiting... from closeby in Bay 14...was special to watch.

You could feel his nervous excitement and the passion for what he was doing...on and off the field.

Great theatre to a great night.
