  • two weeks in a row no penalties conceded in the second half

what is happening in the refs room at half time, two weeks in a row, we get hammered in the penalty count in the first half and then become angels in the second half.

not complaining but there is just no consistency.

    None received either?

    It is odd.

11 penalties in the first half. None in the second.

How the **** does that happen?

the only penalty was the sin bin in the 3rd minute, not penalties for the last 37 minutes.

I'd love to see stats for pens in the 1st half vs pens in the second... across the season for all teams.

Don't penalise to set the tone. Just ref the game as you see it... they don't do that though clearly.

Probably got spoken to at half time about being whistle happy in the first half, and then after the sin binning got very gun shy.

It's a conspiracy. The NRL wants the roosters to go back to back, and the refs are helping them by not blowing penalties to the other team in the second half.

Wouldn't look too much into the reffing in the second half tonight. They put their whistle away and tried to allow the game to flow a bit.
