  • Roosters sign barnstorming young warriors backrower Abraham Papalii

RLW reporting we have signed Abraham Papalii from the Warriors/Auckland Vulcans, highlights of a recent try in link below, looks to be a big fast wide running backrower.

If not…..I'm sure that Ricky will need another back rower.

                Guys,
We've all seen the youtube clips, but let's give the guy a go and welcome him the the club. POS has a great success rate in identifying talent.
It is a numbers game and luck and attitude plays its part once he starts here. But Welcome AP to the greatest club in RL. Good luck and enjoy your time here.

Mate I have never hammered any player whose worn our colours in any grade.

I've just watched the forums turn into a frenzy in the PooTube generation over what kids can do against kids, especially big powerful lads who cant master the art of defending.

Often the over zealous reporting of such signings ends in tears.

I'm just pointing to that fact. Not having a go at a new signing.

                    Not even Vautin? :-P

You're right though. The best kids often don't have a youtube worthy highlights reel. Particularly in the forwards anyway. See Boyd Cordner as an example. Tepai Moeroa too.

Just ultimate pros who are tough, durable and have the basics somewhat perfected from a young age, who then develop the finer arts of the game in 1st grade.

I recall being at a game, I'm sure it was against Watsamatta at the SFS, the last game the season before Fatty joined us and it was announced over the PA and there was a collective groan from the whole 2000 of us that were sick enough to attend another butt hurt of an end to a season.

                      I even liked DuFunchyCode.

Paul Vautin wearing the RWB was a low point in the club's history imo.

For myself I never liked seeing Mason & Omeley in the RWB.
