And what is our reward? We're still more scrutinised than everyone else.

If the NRL and the referees won't make an effort to clamp down on diving, then why should we be left alone to carry the baton?

It's a joke. And with it becoming more prevalent we're being left with the option of either joining the divers or have it potentially cost us a Premiership.

I might have nightmares of GI putting himself in a dangerous position like he did last year or Luke feigning a crusher tackle in the dying moments of a GF. Can you imagine losing it in such a fashion?

That's the NRLs fault. They're allowing this to happen so it's time to stop handicapping ourselves.

I mean you'd think the refs would appreciate our integrity. But it seems the ****ing opposite! Instead they love Souffs and Manly... the chief divers. So **** 'em... time to do the same.
I'm all for winning with integrity but lets be realistic...let's not have this thought that staying down is immoral, unethical or cheating whilst at the same time accepting the fact that we got awarded a try for a blatant forward pass or something that the ref didn't see and make that more acceptable. If we're going to play by the rules, when others don't, then probably and as they say in cricket 'walk' when we think we've been favoured incorrectly by the officials. I don't think that's ever going to happen. Of course with that said, I don't want to see a Greg Bird or Jaime Lyons type on our team, but a little bit of cunning may go a long way.

I hate it when the refs blow their whistles up to 2 seconds after the payers are already off and it usually happens to us. If the refs can't catch the players quick enough, then they shouldn't penalise them.

I would also expect the Badger would also knife JWH thru the gullet.....such is his hatred .....

They wont tackle around the legs & drop the guy because coaches are to worried that the tackler wont be able to get up quick enough after completing the tackle to make it to marker allowing the opposition to take off from dummy half.

It should be that the attacking team cant play the ball until the ruck is cleared then we could go back to classic leg defence keeping right away from the neck/spine which would then also allow attacking teams to play some good of fashioned Rugby League not the predictable bash, barge & wrestle with a kick at the end of the 6.
Well said Mickey , no credit for good legs tackle so they are
Eft with no choice but to wrestle

It comes down to their new status.
            Game managers have replaced refs.
            TV needs close games.

The reason why our club is on the nose with them goes way beyond sport.
A healthly code needs die hard supporters, club supporters.
Not a game of the round soap-opera type promotion.
I wanna see us win by 50 every now and then.
            That's a good game.

The refereeing was farcical. And the two dives from Manly over the crusher - one from Daly Cherry-Flopper - were pathetic.

And one got them a penalty.

If shit like this costs us in the finals I'll burn NRL HQ down lol
Tommy have you ever played footy?
They weren't laying down mate, both those takles would have hurt big time, more DCE one though. Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not having a go at you but I still play a-grade footy and can honestly say while both tackles were accidental, they would have really stung for a while

Yes your right though I didn't see the DCE one, I saw the one Mannah got pinned for and reported/ That as accidental and in more for Mannahs defense, I believe that a second Parra player landed on top of mannah increasing the weight on the Manly players neck. It was never a penalty let alone going on report.

The Mannah one was bullcrap and that player would have still done what he did if there were no crusher penalties.
The DCE one always, to get a line set, but those sorts of things never stopped a first grade player getting up and playing the ball.
While it would have felt a little sore, they would have got up and played the ball when there was no possibility of a penalty.

When we said last season that we have character and integrity so we don't dive people said we will see what happens if you are in the GF.

We were then in the GF and had numerous chances to dive but kept our character and integrity intact.

I have no time for sides that dive and I detest the players that do it constantly - Ennis, Josh Reynolds, Bird and Souffs.
