Although we haven't done it this year, but if we win 9 in a row I think that's the premiership for us.

I don't mind the hard run into the play offs as I believe it hardens resolve and keeps the players focused. We seem to struggle whenever we come up against a team that we are supposed smash, yet struggle to put them away. We had the Sharks 24-0 yet lost. Knights were 18-0 down against us and caught us napping.

I firmly believe, and call me an optimistic old khant , that we have the players that can go through undefeated from here on, and look like peaking at the right time.

I agree that we have the players but it'll come down to the teams desire, they look to be getting it back of late but this week will go along way to showing how much..

I was peeking at LU the other day and someone presented an interesting stat about Souffs and the other contenders.

Interesting stat I came across looking at the ladder. Looking at games decided by less than 12/more than 12.
Souths-1-6/13-1
Manly- 10-3/5-3
Penrith- 9-4/5-3
Roosters- 4-6/9-2
Storm- 6-6/6-3

Not sure historically how much this says but pretty dramatic regular season tale. Souths cant handle an arm wrestle but put teams away when they're on top. Manly and Penrith are the clutch kings. Roosters and Melbourne nothing too compelling just inconsistent seasons as we knew.

Souths deserve to be favourites right now but I'd be a bit worried about their ability to close out close, tough finals games.

Flat track bullies is the term I like to use about Souffs.

I thought it was 10 mate? My daughter was born August 10, the morning of that first game of the run. I remember telling my wife she had to step on it coz we had a saturday night game 😁 I think it was Warriors or Broncs rhat weekend. And yes, we won the remainder of the games so my little Makhaya was our good luck charm.
