    A perspective into our recent form

    The recent form shown by Newcastle and Gold Coast shows we are not as bad as some of the doomsayers here have us to be. Apart from the Sharks game debacle when we switched off completely, we have battled and ground out some good wins, and have been unlucky in some games , but we're still in the top 4 without displaying any of last year's ruthless form, and with Pearce and Maloney starting to show some reasonable form, I think with a good solid hard run against the Storm and bunnies will sharpen us for a decent crack at defending our title.

    If we don't happen to defend our title, or make the GF ( heavens forbid ), I'll still be a mad Roosters fan and love the team with the same passion I've had for the last 39 years.

    If we qualify for the finals this year (which we should) it'll be the first time we've done it in back to back seasons since Freddy was a player. That in itself is big.

      Dim..I am pretty sure we have qualified now ..We are 30 points and have the second best F/A at the moment. Another win should just about get us top 4 with the draw most of the contenders are having.

      As you have said first time since Freddy to qualify for finals 2 years in a row which is great. Would now love to see some consistency like Manly in making the 8 on a regular basis...that is the mark of a successful club.

          That in itself is quite sad with the calibre of players we have had.

          Very happy to be in contention again though.
