  • Another outstanding motm performance by Mitch. Credit to him and those who stood by him.

He said in an I/v on 2ky this week that he puts a lot of it down to the mental side of the game and visualisation techniques he's now using.

    • I am enjoying my shit sandwiches that I received tonight from Mitchell Pearce.

This one's for the oldies...he needs to send himself a telegram from Robert Menzies saying "Pearce, you're magnificent."
      SUPER DRAGON!

        • A lot of humble pie I've been served too. The challenge is now on Pearce to ensure this new found composure remains consistent. He has been very surprisingly composed against big opposition the last two weeks. It's a little scary as it isn't like him..

So if a player is playing CRAP for a big part of the season, are we supposed to think 'he'll come good one day?' We're fans, not psychologists...well not me yet

Maybe he wasn't actually playing that CRAP mate. I do know he started the year playing very well. Yes he had a lull but since Origin has built momentum.

The whole sides done a similar thing.

IMO many expected too much instant gratification this year. And PearceOrf is one of those players that carries that expectation from our fans especially.

Maybe after last years GF win some expected us to play at that level for 26 rounds.

                That's unrealistic.

IMO the coaches have done a great job peaking this side again this season.

Probably I make that comment to everyone of us that make a comment about a player that's not having a good season. I think it's OK to be critical as long as its not made personal and I think U know what I mean. To say that we're eating humble pie because Pearce has come good is just saying that perhaps you shouldn't have made that comment '7 rounds ago'. At the end of the day, we are here to criticise and compliment in the good Aussie spirit.

Mate I have no problems with criticism when it's warranted. And I'm not just targeting you or anyone generally, I've been saying similar things all year.

I just have tried to look at the season overall, it's length and the fact it's impossible to play at such a high level for last season, have a WC in the off season then try and do it all again underprepared this year and expect us to be up all year.

Maybe a better way to put it is this is 2014 last year was 2013. No teams gone back 2 back in over 20 seasons. I reckon a lot of our fans have expected too much this year cos they've compared it to last year. IMO that's not realistic.

I'm wrapped we have got this high on the ladder and have given ourselves another shot at a GF.

All year I've tried to stay positive and tried to understand the reasons why we haven't played as well as last season consistently.

I'm happy the coaches have really done a wonderful job planning our season. We are peaking at the right end.

Injuries and suspensions. I've said it before and Dice has been another who has said the same thing.

Look at tonight I didn't give a fark if we won or not. Play well and keep every able body available for next week. Maybe with suspensions that won't happen. And the irony is there Souffs even thou they lost will probably be at full strength next week.

A Footy season IMO is about more than a pass in a game or a loss to a side running last. It's a whole year in the planning. And all you can do is hope you get high in the finals fit and firing.

We are doing it. But it ain't over as yet.

                            • Everyone this year has been raving about ben hunt from the broncos, but in last night's match he looked very ordinary indeed. Apart from that try he scored, his kicking game and passing game was atrocious. He probably cost them the match.

Mitch Pearce has had a good season. At the start of the year, I couldn't work out why people thought he was going so bad.

On that note, Why do opposition fans rate mccullough over Friend ??? Jake is miles ahead of him in every facet of his game.
                              Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"
