Manly aren't going as good as people think.

Their forwards are struggling compared to last year, IMO they are there to be beaten.

Don't forget we went to Brookvale and everything went against us yet still should of won.

I'm not confident in our chances this year but if we scrap into 4th and are fit you never know what might happen.

We all know we have the talent.

I can feel the resurgence in our teams mojo, little things like fpn not falling for the bait and avoiding penalties? bbq stepping up once again, mini playing like hihes on his last few games? rts scoring the tries that need to be scored, skid catching a few balls., making a few real tackles, jake recovering from his injury, sbw about to explode in his last few games of league( for a while?)yes it all now seems to be slowly coming together, we even got some line drop outs from the opposition last week!

Except for the Grand Final where we were penalised 2-3 times

As for those saying Cowboys, really? They struggle to win games away from home, for most of the part

Goes to show how weak the comp is at the moment. It will be a crying shame if we don't take advantage and win the thing. Biggest missed opportunity I can recall.

It will never be a bigger missed opportunity than 2003.

I remember we went to Penrith late in the year and blitzed them 26 nil at halftime. That's how good we were at our best.

And then in the GF our 3/4s blew it against a team we were clearly superior to.

2004 was more painful. But no club will ever have a better chance at b2b than we did in 2003.

I think about 2003 all the time. All Byrne had to do was step inside, seeing it on every fkn second highlight reel only depends the pain. If only it was Mini on the wing, or if we still had Mullins that year

I don't trust the NRL especially with Greenberg there - Reynolds suspension was a farce.
The thing that is starting to make the cowboys a real threat is thier much improved defense, they have always been able to score points but now they are doing everything right including winning away.

The Storm are a bigger hope.
I have a feeling the black cats will shred the cowboys this weekend.........

I wonder if Manly fans will think of 2013 all the time too? In a few years they'll be cringing, thinking that all Wolfman had to do was catch that ball (a few different ones - the Toops try....the dropped bomb that lead to the repeat set and another repeat set which lead to Guerra scoring....the dropped ball with the goaline in sight) and they would have won. Or the Warriors fans about 2002 and preventing Freddy's 40/20.

What we displayed on Monday night was awful and at this time of the year we should be playing fluently, we have looked better since Jennings is back in the side but now there is talk that he'll be out for the rest of the year. If we can win 3 or all of our remaining premiership games then I'll give us a chance but we aren't looking likely at this stage.
The team was not playing much better this time last season as an unproven force.

I think Maloney grabbing his hair after the first few minutes really upset him and he never recovered after that. I have to admit Maloney would be near the top of my list for all his little niggles if I wasn't a Roosters fan! Good on him
