Sure he can though. Gun wingers can generally play FB. IMO he'd be a GI style FB. Big unpredictable indigie bloke who can run good lines, cause trouble and clean up all the scraps.

IMO Tupou and RTS would miss Mini's leadership in the backline (is Fergo a leader?) but they are established now and Tupou in particular has been defending well.
Ferguson hasn't played fullback on a regular basis. I can remember a game a couple of seasons back where Dugan went off injured and he went back to fullback and had a 'Nene v Sharks' style game back there.

People were against Inglis moving to the fullback role but is anyone against it now?

What lunatic was against Inglis playing fullback? That has been his preferred position in the NRL since his debut season

You talk like Maguire moved Inglis to fullback straight away. He had 3 different people play fullback in 2012 prior to finally moving Inglis back there midway through the season.

        Maguire is a dunce

It took 2 games and there was only 1 other player he tried at fullback (Dylan Farrell).

Inglis always was a fullback. Played there in juniors and qld cup. I laugh when people carry on like Souths made him a fullback

You ever heard of Jamie Lyon, Steve Matai, Greg Inglis, Justin Hodges, Michael Jennings, Josh Morris......In fact, forget about them, I'd put him below Whare, Auva'a, Walker, Hurrell, Dugan, Chambers and probably Tate.

He's built up a reputation that he probably doesn't deserve in my opinion. He scores some good tries and is hard to tackle - but that's only half the game. He can be a terrible defender, and his hands let him down a lot.

He's not been consistent enough at this stage of his career to be classed anywhere near the top of the tree.

                Just my opinion.
                Yet he played Origin.

                Go figure.
