Hooker and Vice-Captain Jake Friend has today been ruled out of NRL action for 2-4 weeks, at this stage, after suffering a hamstring strain in the dying stages of last Saturday's win over the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Friend has undergone scans and will begin rehabilitation on the injury immediately, before returning to training with the full Squad on a limited load next week.
Updates on Friend will be supplied as they come to hand
First Jenko and Toups get injured as we release Moga , now Friendy out as we release Morts. ****ing ridiculous. We deserve Heath 'Im the worst player in the NRL' L'Estrange.
That's going to make things tough...our most important player... Sorry SBW.
I like the Stranger but he's no Jake...and definitely not a fan of the Maubs to dummy half routine.
Hopefully only out for the 2 weeks.
What do you like about Stranger? You watch him for any 10 second period in any match and see how good he is. MY favourite was the Sharks game this year when he stood still at the end of the firs thalf to allow them to score,
So not only is our most important player out, but we find out that the curse of a team winning the wk after their coach got sacked is a possibility, and one of the referees is chicken legs Cecchin.

He's got footy smarts and plenty of experience that will be valuable in Jakes absence.
The downside is he will need cluey interchanging whereas Jake doesn't.

He looks ok in attack but looks at least half a yard off the pace defensively Oh well klets hope he gets up to speed real quick we are going to need him to
