His kicking game was dreadful. Rather than putting up bombs it was more like a deep chip kick that no one could contest. I understand not wanting to risk a 20 metre tap but put the ball up higher to give a chance to contest the ball. Perhaps he doesn't have faith that he has the skill to do so.

We are farrked if Friend is injured and out for more than 1 week. The next two games are games we cannot afford to lose if we hope to stay in the top 4 by the end of the season. They are also games we probably will win if Jake is on the field. They are games we will lose if L'Estrange displayed the form he showed against the Sharks a few weeks back.

The Morts move north has back-fired. Imagine this spine for the next few weeks if Friend is out for an extended period. L'Estrange, Pearce (out of form), Maloney (horribly out of form) Minichiello (still playing well) but not going to strike fear into opposition sides. That is a 'pop-gun attack spine'.

I can understand if Hastings is moved to the bench to cover for 9 and 7 a la Mortimer was for Friend (limited mins for 10-15 mins a game) at this stage of his career, but if he is on the bench as back up for L'Estrange and L'Estrange has a shocker early on and hooked (which is possible considering his insipid effort against the Sharks)....It would be like throwing a young kid to the wolves expecting him to play No 9 for extended minutes whilst making 40 or so tackles. Thomas, if Maubs is still injured next Monday might be a better option on the bench and let Hastings continue to develop (now for Newtown) in the halves this season.

The Mower was holding his shoulder/arm at the end of the match.
              Any news?

                Where????
Replace Maloney or Pearce? Who both seem to be a pivotal piece to our team morale wise not to mention experience and leadership. Why don't we upset the apple kart a couple of weeks out from the semis and change our halves combination

Looks like he will miss the next game.

Though it also looks like Aubbo will be back to play 9.

will be lucky if he only misses one, looked worse than the typical hammy strain, good news if Maubs is back even if its just a 50/30 minutes split in favour of L'Estrange its better than some of the other alternatives.

did Jake appear on the sunday footy show today?, if so what did he say about his injury.

                        He was off getting scans.

                        Boyd took his place.

Without Friend we are stuffed and JWH may be suspended as well

It's a disgrace that JWH was even put on report for that.

first contact was ball/shoulder but then into the head, we all know the MRP love putting the boot in JWH, he will get a grade 1 careless high tackle charge and on the back of his poor record will get a 1 match ban.
