  • Roosters vs Dragons team lists

going to be a tough one this weekend against the Dragons no SBW/Maubs/Toups, also Dragons playing with plenty of confidence, they are not afraid to give the ball some air, which is totally opposite to how we are going, low on confidence/motivation and unable to get into any attacking rhythm.

DRAGONS TEAM: 1. Adam Quinlan, 2. Brett Morris, 3. Josh Dugan, 4. Gerard Beale, 5. Jason Nightingale, 6. Gareth Widdop, 7. Benji Marshall, 8. Ben Creagh (c), 9. Mitch Rein, 10. Mike Cooper, 11. Leeson Ah Mau, 12. Joel Thompson, 13. Jack de Belin. Interchange: 14. Bronson Harrison, 15. Trent Merrin, 16. Will Matthews, 17. Jack Stockwell, 18. Shane Pumipi.

looking at the Jets side looks like Evans has once again missed out on FG selection, interesting to see Hastings named to make his NSW cup debut, perhaps Robbo is getting a little frustrated with Pearce/Maloney and wants to test out Hastings to see if he is a viable option if required.

looks like Taukeiaho and L'Estrange will be part of the first grade squad.

L'Estrange is a vegetable and should be nowhere near our first grade squad. Personally I would get rid of FPN and replace him with Kane Evans, he might have a few defensive deficiencies, but at least he gives 110% as opposed to Frank Paul Anasta.

thanks Horry, that means its Jennings for Maubs and L'Estrange on the bench and no 18th man named.

Anyone know much about leuluai? Hoping he is a hooker.
And it will be interesting to see if Nene actually plays on the wing this week

wide running backrower, very powerful, but still young, the way Stevie Mac was talking in the team announcement video he could make his debut on Saturday night, I guess it will be between him and L'Estrange for the final bench spot.

Lets hope he does, I think we are much better with Friend playing the 80.
On another note, it's amazing how far we have developed in our forward stocks from just two years ago when Smiffy could hardly conjure up a pack.

Wow Vincent Leuluai what a proud moment for the young bloke. Would be great to see him play. An out and out backrower in my opinion. Runs into the line like a demon. Hope he sprints into them in first grade like he does in the 20s. Very surprised to see him there though. Still very young. Was in Australian Schoolboys last year. His defence does seem very solid from what I've seen but it is just 20s. Fingers crossed for the young fella!! Really surprised Kane Evans isn't getting a run this week.

Yak, also surprised Evans isn't getting a run, especially as Robbo likes to use Napa in the 2nd row when SBW has been out in the past, I guess for whatever reason Robbo still doesn't trust Kane's defence, the poor kid is virtually carrying Newtown on his back every weekend and still can't get a look in.
