I feel that Robbo has been cut a bit of slack with his after match comments because in the past he has been very restrained in his condemnation of refereeing decisions.

Manly have done nothing different to last year,

they still play their brand of 2011, 2012 & 2013 footy

we have not achieved our 2013 level as yet...

One massive improvement manly has done, is go from the 2nd most penalised team, to the least. If they keep that up, they are untouchable, even with the smallest pack.

was interesting listening to Freddy on the sunday footy show on his views of why the Roosters haven't had the greatest of seasons so far.

his basic message was we are trying to play 2013 style football in 2014, plain and simple we haven't evolved as a football team from one season to another, other sides have become better and we are standing still.

teams have now had 18 months to work out and counter our strengths, it is now over to Robbo to make the adjustments necessary to right the ship, the 5 hitups and bomb to the corner mentality isn't cutting it in 2014.

What else can we do when we 'never' get any penalties...like other teams do?

Mate, if it was souths, dogs, storm or the dogs, I would agree with your scepticism, but I don’t see manly as one of the nrl's favourite teams or why they would do them any favours. Unless they think Abbot will give the nrl some funding, considering he is their #1 fan.

It seemed to turn around for them after Toovey's infamous "there needs to be an investigation" rant.

Our team hasn't had more injuries than other sides at all... lol...

The single biggest factor this season so far has been the players' blatant lack of motivation and lack of respect for the opposition. It has been evident all year . We still haven't fixed our discipline (where we can) or our respect for the ball; our completion rates are still abysmal. Too many people think Robbo can do no wrong. Everything I have listed in this post are things that Robbo is supposed to correct in the team but has failed to this season.

There have been plenty of suggestions that we will lift towards the end of the business season. There is so much work to be done before they even go close to winning the premiership, again.

I don't think it's been really raised either, but even though we basically top the NRL in points for, our team can seriously struggle to lay on the points at times. We saw it early in the Storm game (until they eventually cracked) and the Knights game too. We don't have enough creativity or varierty in attack and it seems many of our plays are too easily shut down.

Heard Freddy on the Footy Show say we haven't improved ...all sounds good, but I would've liked to hear from him bit more specifics rather than generalisations.

You won't get them because he doesn't know, dumb as a house brick when it comes to analysis and strategies.

I think it still has a lot to do with no real preseason as a team.
