  • Badger is a Souths fan

Just in case you didn't know.

Grew up in the area, coached in the Souths district & supports them. Knows a lot of the players who came from his time coaching in the district too.

And Dave Smith is worried because we don't have enough independent people on our board, give me a break

He doesn't even hide his bias, every 50/50 decision he will lean towards the opposition.

The FPN penalty in the first half was the clearest one, without a pocket referee to pull him up he calls a knock on for a blatant infringement in the ruck 3 metres from where he was standing.

We should demand he never officiates any of our matches, he simply cannot referee our matches without a pre-determined bias.

I saw him earlier this year prior to refereeing First grade sitting with his son who was wearing a Souths hat.

Here are some stats for you. His record refereeing the Knights is amazingly positive. Refereeing the Roosters... less so:

He's about as biased as Barry Gomersall.

Well, that explains everything. Wonder how many more times we will see him ref us this season.
                NONE I HOPE!!!!!!!!!

Although, his refereeing record says Souths only win 38.99% of their games lol
                  Roosters 39.13% under him

The difference column is probably most telling. Newcastle win a shitload more games under him, compared to their average since 2003. And we lose a fair few more games under him compared with other referees

HAHAHAHA don't let the truth get in the way of a good story. Even though those stats may be the truth about Badger, both refs last night had shockers, I think the NRL who are trying to find an investor for the knights after bailing them out of the Tinkler debacle needed that home win and the refs obliged.

64 million dollar question - How is Badger still a first grade ref.. or an any grade ref for that matter????.. there's got to be money changing hands somewhere

I think the giveaway that completely unmasked his bias was the sinbinning of JWH and his manner of delivery of the decision.

Embarrassing... There would be 20 sinbins per match following that line for swearing.

I don't usually buy into conspiracies but after watching every game this year it is getting tougher to ignore.

I don't care how many penalties we concede , I'm more shocked at the fact that every other team that plays us seems to have perfect discipline for the one or two matches per year when we are their opposition.
                            Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

I've never seen a player get sent off or a sinbin for swearing. JWH wasn't swearing directly at the ref either.
