It's going to take a total reversal of attitude and fortune for us to even go close to going back to back.

We're playing like a pack of tits.

Results in the last two rounds have almost killed our chances of being in the top two.

That loss to Cronulla wounded us badly and the Dogs beating the Storm was the icing on the cake.

Coach Robinson chooses his words very carefully and I found this most evident in the response to Sterlo's question regarding penalties. I would have loved Coach to have responded to Sterlo by saying "you are asking the wrong question Peter."

JT's post above is spot on and if the pennies win tonight, it will be a fight for the Roosters to finish fourth. My expectations for this Roosters side is muted.

Agree with this especially after the shellacking up in cowgirls land and all the noise made about improving, only to then go on and set an NRL record for capitulation against the sharks.

I both agree and disagree with this statement.

After watching the Cronulla game at the ground, I thought we were no chance of winning the comp. But on reflection, I actually don't think our performance was all that bad. Cronulla were down 24-0, they had nothing to lose, so they threw the ball around, offloaded whenever possible and had plenty of things go there way, including the Pearce try assit to Wade Graham and Nene dropping numerous bombs. If Mini stayed on the field I have no doubt we win that game. The game before against Manly, I actaully thought we were the better team for most of that match. I have no doubt we can beat them on nuetral territory. For the cronulla match we had Mini, RTS, Cordner, Tupou, Jennings and Guerra. That is six very good players including 4 out of 5 of our starting three quarter line. The contribution of Guerra and Cordner to our team also cannot be underestimated.

So in short, I can certainly now see why punters still rate us a good chance of winning the comp. If we can get close to our full team on the park and the boys can focus on there performance a little more, there is no reason why we can't. Another thing we have in our favour is Trent Robinson.

Like others have said, we will learn a hell of a lot about our title chances on Saturday when we play Penrith. I expect a top notch performance.

                  Top two doesn't matter mate.

It's going to be an all Sydney top 4 and the games will be played at SFS or ANZ.

We just need to beat either Penrith or Souffs home for 4th.

Hopefully we do and play Manly which we would be played at the SFS.

I might be completely wrong, but if Manly finish ahead of us, wouldn't that game be played at Brooky?

This is correct unless something has changed this year However It is probable the NRL in their greed could stage another double header at a boutique stadium

No, Brookvale is not an approved ground for NRL finals. All Sydney based clubs have to play at either the SFS or ANZ - this was changed some years ago. Manly, I believe have indicated to the NRL that they prefer to play at the SFS, rather than ANZ. Cronulla, who won't play finals this year, and the Roosters, are the other clubs that made that preference as I understand.

                          Ah right, okay thanks mate.

Hopefully we don't draw the Dogs or Souffs if we make the top 4 in first week of the finals, meaning we'd probably travel to their home ground.

That ground we won the grand final at last year?

No the one where we smashed the bunnies in round 26 to get the minor premiership.
