Does not matter who replaces them.Hastings Taumata, sbw ,freddy fittler, who gives a F**k no player is bigger than the club and i don't know about you but i was dead set embarrassed about being flogged by the sharks the other night. Were the laughing stock of the NRL at the moment and i don't like it.

As I said in another thread, this camp has probably been planned for some time and looked upon as a kick start into the back third of the season.

Think about it, rep season is over, our last bye gone, a whole new comp begins now in the race to the semis so no better time to get the team together and rev them up.

I'm looking forward to seeing what they bring against Pemriff.

          Chook.

bondi-boy ilk had corporal punishment banned, along with the death penalty [luckily for Lindy]...so there won't be any physical assault of the players going on.
Besides, all that screaming at the players/slamming them up against walls etc is oh so 'yesterday'.
The players are someone's children, and loved ones.

The master coach in the black hat, after a humiliating loss would be gentle on the players' minds, knowing that they'd be crushed mentally by their performance and the loss...without his abusing them also.

Ahem, we lost by 2 points.

Where I come from, losing by two points is not a flogging.

The Sharks received a lot of penalties in the second half, and if you'd watched carefully the second half of their match against the Broncos at Suncorp the week before you'd have seen that the Sharks are no mug team.
They pass the ball back and forth along the backline [without dropping it and throwing wayward passes like we do]...making at least 10 metres a tackle.
If they start on their 40...in 6 tackles they're running over our tryline.
They have tall and fast backs, dummy/switch of play moves done at pace...they played very well against us the first time we played them this year.
They have a top goalkicker who kicks goals from the sideline.

              Before the match I wrote in a thread here;

"The Sharks ran all over the Broncos last week...and will run all over us too if we don't play properly".

We played properly for about 35 minutes...then Pearce threw that stupid speculator pass and gave the Sharks a gift try, hope, and a chance.
SBW kept giving them back possession with 'miracle balls' that went astray...all unnecessary passes as we led by a lot.

Also, we were missing Jennings, Cordner, Guerra, Tupou. and Mini for much of the match...rookies taking their place.

"Hang onto the bloody ball" - Bozo Fulton on the radio.

Every dropped ball is a momentum-killer and potential try to the opposition.

Hopefully I won't be seeing JWH, Moa, and Friend all off the field at the same time ever again.

All season they just have not looked right for an entire match. Hard to match last years performances when they were all fresh and raring to go and rip in.
I think the lateral approach of having a break maybe the answer because all I hear at press conferences is we need to work harder.Maybe they are working harder whilst playing the same tactics this season and trying to replicate 2013. If they are doing the same training over and over combined with the same tactics every game may well explain the so called lack of attitude - i think it isn't but I put it down to being mentally stale. Grinding a team into the ground is what Stuart did to us yet I think Trent is clever with his lateral approach as the repetition and monotony is not working

Should have sent them to Cronulla beach for the week the jeering and ridicule after that loss would have to motivate them.

I hope they do some coaching clinics with the young kids up that way & maybe go & visit the troubled youth in the Baxter detention centre at Kariong.

Indeed. Does make you wonder just how many wake up calls are required.

I hope they get pissed, bond as a team and start to enjoy their footy again. They look like a team who's under a lot of pressure to back up their amazing season from last year. At the end of the day there's no better motivation than the intrinsic values of playing for your mates & enjoying what you do. They're at the highest level of the game, we already know they're natural competitors I reckon it's time to lay off them a bit and just enjoy the season for what it is.

I've heard it mentioned as a crisis camp.
