L'Estrange, Dureau and Stapleton are all excellent depth signings.

Not every signing will, or has to be a marquee player like SBW or Jennings.

Check out Stapleton's stuff on You tube in First grade. Not a bad highlight reel . Sure reserve grader but can score some pretty handy tries.

Besides turning over your fringe players injects fresh blood into a team environment. Nothing worse than watching a stale team.

          Chook.
I agree Chook. You need to inject new blood to keep things fresh. Players get into their comfort zone when the same faces are around. Considering we had very little turn over from last year, the new faces will be good for the team.

I also thought Le Strange went well on the weekend. Solid all round with a couple of good darts from dummy half.

No idea where all the criticism for L'Estrange comes from. I have always believed he's a solid performer, and still is. Loves playing direct, still seems quick from dummy half and throws a very neat ball. To top it all off, he's a good competitor too. Still saw those good qualities v Manly and, tbh, I think he's a better hooker than Mortimer

Correct, HLS is a specialist hooker, that has been in a premiership winning team. Whilst Morts was a utility player that just happened to be around at a time when we won the comp.

ooooor you could argue that Mortimer was a specialist utility that was part of a premiership winning team, whilst HLS was your average hooker that happened to play in a side that one the comp.

Works both ways. Don't let the agenda get in the way.

Reminds me more of what's his name... fastest man in league apparently. Not Michael Oldfield, the other fastest guy in league who came from the Raiders. That said Oldfield's the same!

Random signing of a guy who never gets to play any footy. So long as he doesn't get done for bashing the shit out of his mrs before playing 1 minute of footy he won't go down as our worst signing ever.

That and they can end up being Sam Moas if you choose wisely.

                      Or Luke O'Donnells too.

Heath is a specialist hooker. Morts was a makeshift hooker.

Two weeks ago and probably this week will show what Dan Mortimer could do.

He has a kicking game too.

Stapleton is a very underrated player, where Moga was probably overrated.
                            Another good signing!
Ferguson to right centre with SKD on the wing outside of him.

And for that reason Heath will add more value to our side from the bench, esp given Mortimer rarely ever played in the halves for us
