  • not clinical when it mattered most

although tonight was probably our best performance for the year, it was the basic errors in the 2nd half that killed any chance of winning.

there were probably five key moments that contributed to us not getting the points, by altering the momentum of the match.

    - Pearce's kick out on the full that killed our momentum and led to Manly's 3rd try
    - Friends grubber kick on an early tackle that went dead
    - SKD's drop
    - Maloney's missed conversion
    - Mini being unable to stay in the field of play, this was the final nail in the coffin

its going to be very hard to finish top now we are giving Manly a 4pt head start, important to finish either 2nd or 3rd so we avoid Manly in the first week of the finals.

You sum that up well mate, although they have had two byes, which means its really only two points.

If we play like we did tonight for the rest of the year, we won't lose too many more games.

But Manly look like us of 2013

agree that is assuming Manly will lose, they are the best team in the comp at the moment, hard to see anyone overtaking them for the minor premiership.

Good post fletch - those five events were key and adding them on top of ANOTHER FARGIN lopsided penalty count, well, fait accompli.

Robbo highlighted the 56% completion rate in the 2nd half as the reason for the loss, he also said we wasted the good field position in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half.

Toovey was whinging about forward passes in our 3rd try and not getting any more piggy back penalties in the 2nd half.

Have I mentioned I friggin hate losing to this particular team and their smug whiney scumbag of a coach?

I would love to see that scumbag of a coach react to his scummy team being on the end of a lopsided penalty count such as what the Roosters have to put up with on an all too regular basis. The turd would explode.

Anyways, why should I care about the loss? The Roosters players looked like they didn't give a sh1t after the match - all smiles and hugs FFS.

                    .
Manly have won 8 from 9 at home.
They have won 2 from 5 away. One against the Sharks and one against us when we were reemed 11-2 in the penalties.
They have 3 more games at home and 7 away including the Dogs, Warriors, South, Eels and Cowboys which aren't automatic wins.
We have 7 games at home and two away to the Knights and Warriors.
Semis are also not played at Brookie.

Make of that what you want.
