I see it as covering all your bases. A few injuries (MJ is currently injured), or the very real possibility of consistently poor form from SKD (Robbo was close to dropping at one stage just last year), Fergo would make the ideal replacement! We may not be desperate now, but who knows if we will be in September/October?

Robbo has signed up Dureau as insurance to cover the halves. Fergo would be the same sort of thing, to cover the outside backs.

Naturally he will require a few weeks at Newtown before stepping into the 1st grade side.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

If he is set to be a Rooster, this yr is better then next and it does add up with Morts being released.
Hopefully yesterdays ruling will be enough for the NRL to allow him to play this year. As Elo pointed out, there are players running around who have done far worse! That $ouff$ centre is a great example of that!

Apart from the fact that he is going to be a Rooster, I feel that the ruling against Ferguson is very fair. He made a mistake. A stupid mistake. Nonetheless, all he did was grab some skanky ho that hangs around in Shire nightclubs. How many of you have behaved in a lecherous and inappropriate manner at times? I certainly have and I have certainly done much worse than what Ferguson did (this incident only). I am not a fan of the guy and would prefer we didn't sign him. But all that aside I don't think that any young man deserves a permanent conviction and record over what I consider to be a very petty matter. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

Careful TCB all I said on this forum was cheerleaders are hot sluts and they wanted to hang me on here! Apparently all women are respectful young ladies, just because they are someone's daughter.

I agree with parts of this, but let's not forget the full catalogue of his feckwittery. He's not exactly been a shining beacon of common sense at any time in his career.....

It is interesting Easts75 because generally people these days seem to be either totally PC or totally old school. I think somewhere in between is better. I dislike bogans. They offend me. Perhaps it is because I grew up in the Western Suburbs of Sydney. I have been an expatriate more or less since 2001. Since then I have noticed a steady dumbing down of Australian culture. When I am in Thailand I stay away from other Australians. I dislike alcohol culture as well. Nothing against alcohol per se but the culture and people that surround it are not for me.
Honestly, if someone I did not know grabbed my dick I would not be that offended (male or female). Its not like I have not grabbed it myself countless times I'm not a caveman that is going to say victims of sexual abuse should accept it. Not at all. I do believe though that if you hang around in nightclubs in places such as the Sutherland Shire, you must expect a certain level of debauchery and a high level of boganism. If Ferguson did not have a public profile it is difficult to imagine that he would even have been charged for this offence.

I agree that the guy is a ****wit. No question about it. But a sex offender? I think that is too harsh.

As a teenager I was charged with a crime. I was guilty and I plead guilty. I was sentenced to a 12 month good behavior bond and if I stayed out of trouble for 12 months no conviction would be recorded. I did stay out of trouble and to this day am very grateful that the magistrate gave me a chance rather than condemning me to a lesser life.

Well said TCB. I was in the Cops 20 yrs and too many kids dont take the chances they are given in life. Ive seen so many get to that crossroad and end up taking the wrong turn, despite the opportunity given to them.

                      Well done to you.

Well now that all the facts are before us I don't think it's as serious a crime as first made out. A 12 month good behaviour bond & no criminal record tends to suggest that the judge also agrees.

Stupid & ignorant more than anything else.

I'm not that disrespectful JC and you know it. I know that you have daughters and so does Easts75 judging by the avatars you both have. All I have to say is that I hope that none of your girls know what it's like to be manhandled or assaulted by some drunk bumbling creepy fool as its something that stays with you forever and can affect your future relationships. And as for TCB, I'm really pleased you had the magistrate you did but give yourself credit for making the most of the chance you were given and at a young age too by the sounds of things. It's what Blake will now do tomorrow and the next day that counts..I'm still copping idiots at work coming up to me wanting to make cracks about Mitchell Pearce and girls in yellow dresses..the mud sticks much worse when you are a Rooster and I'm just protective of my team and my club and that is something I will never apologise for.

RWB, it was said tongue in cheek my friend. Us 'mature age adults' have to stick together 😁 I enjoy your comments, as well as your occasional efforts to keep us blokes in line, especially the young bucks!

And I do recall telling one of those bucks to pull his head in when he used a very offensive comment about you, not realising you were part of the smarter and tougher gender 😁

And dont get me started on my princesses! I will rave on and on & get banned for boring everyone. Just look at my avatar. How can I not!
