Former State of Origin player Blake Ferguson's appeal against his conviction for indecent assault has been dismissed.
The winger was found guilty in December of groping a woman's crotch during a boozy night out in Cronulla.
The incident occurred in June 2013 as Ferguson celebrated his selection for the NSW Origin side with former Canberra teammate Josh Dugan at the 2230 nightclub.
Ferguson, now deregistered by the NRL and working for the Sydney Roosters in a community role, was given a two-year good behaviour bond but appealed against his conviction.
Judge Michael Finnane dismissed the appeal at a Sydney court on Thursday, saying Ferguson did not touch the woman's crotch but on the upper thigh under her dress.
"Touching a woman under her dress in that area is an indecent assault, therefore I find the charge proven," he added.

I can't see the NRL blocking his 2015 return, there are other players running around that have bashed their missus so there's simply no grounds to block him from playing.SUPER DRAGON!

My god. Our judicial system is a disgrace.
I had the displeasure of battling magistrates Lillian Horler and Pat O'Shane in Court whilst workung at Redfern. It is fact that in 3 yrs of sitting at the Redfern bench, Lillian Horler did not incarcerate 1 criminal. Not 1. And you can imagine how many criminals came through there with BE&S x 10 and worse. She gave them all a Sec 10.
A Sec 10 is what is known as a Rising of the Court'. Dont anyone for a minute think that the Court found Ferguson not guilty. A Sec 10 acknowledges guilt but does not record any conviction.
Effectively Blake has been told he is naughty for putting his hand up that girls skirt and given a slap over the wrist.
Can you imagine you or I getting a Sec 10 for similar? I dont think so.Embrace the Hate! JC

The section 10 is a discharge without recording a conviction or a criminal record, it looks like they might try and register him we have till Monday.
If he is set to be a Rooster, this yr is better then next and it does add up with Morts being released." A man can only walk as far as he can see"
